Happy Tuesday....

Today, is just NOT my best day! I've been really tired since the moment my alarm went off and just achy all over. Between Fibro and the end of my cold, I'm just not feeling great and my cold is been minimal, since I added in extra Vitamin C. I think I have overdone things a bit and need to catch up my rest!

....ARGH! And just when things are NOT good....things tend to get worse! I wrote a whole LONG post, but then somehow LOST it because Google kept asking me to sign in, even though I had signed in already! As I said...it's one of those day! I have more problems with that at times, but I have NO CLUE why it happens. The only way I seem to be able to fix it is to delete my GOOGLE Cookie and then start all over! Too bad that this time, I lost my post in the meantime....!

I did finish my Project 365 page for last week. It's actually a two-page layout of my Craft Room...kind of a before and after and it came out okay! I'm still struggling at learning to scrap and simply NEVER seem to create great page!

These are the pages I made and while I LOVE the Purple background ....I still feel like they need 'something' ?? to make them pop?

So...that's going to be for day! I'm too tired to type another LONG post and hopefully tomorrow will be a better day!

Bye Bye...

"LOVE any thing that adds a bit of bling to my card projects and I absolutely LOVE Denami glitters.

The colors are gorgeous and glitter is ultra fine and works wonderfully.

It's one of my favorites and I use it often!!"

My New Space!!

WooHOO! I have pretty much finished my Craft Room Make-over and I LOVE it! I have a few me shelves to put up and some things to move around, but it's basically done!!

Today, we focus on working downstairs and moving around the furniture from the Family Room to the Living Room, washing all the walls and doing all the curtains! By the time we finish the house will all be very neat and clean and totally re-organized. Having DH on vacation all week, has been awesome. I'm so grateful and thankful for all the help he and Alex have given me! Love you both!!

These are the pictures of my room, as of yesterday afternoon --

The one part of this room, I have always disliked, is that the woodstore pipe was put through from downstairs. It makes it hard to use that area, but was done before we bought the house The good point is that it keeps this room roasty warm in the Winter

This is the back wall (the pipe in in the left corner).

Same back wall toward the right!

This is a Expedit Bookcase, used on
it's side and my new Cuttlebug/Cricut Area.

The whole back wall, is all Expedit Units
from Ikea! They ROCK!

These are Expedit Bookcase units from IKEA!
I LOVE Them!
We bought two! One is 4X4 (Cubes)
and the other is 2X4 (Cubes) and we used it sideways.

My Workspace Table!
A long white Kitchen Table from IKEA!
You can see how long my table is here,
I love having so much work space!!

This is my Desk/Hutch and now my
computer is finally up in my room!
My TV on a new set of Drawer from IKEA!

I want to THANK everyone who suggested some of the IKEA Pieces. These drawer unit, is from the "ALEX" line at IKEA (and I absolutely LOVE it). It's one of my favorite pieces.

The End!!

A wondeful day of surprises!

Monday...Yuk! or so it started for me!

I woke up this morning, not feeling so well...just that basic tired and achy feeling that is part of living daily with Fibro.....

I did my chores and was reading posts online and suddenly the mail man was at my door with a big package! Well what a WONDERFUL SURPRISE, my friend Sharon (an online Fibro Friend from PA), had sent me a Making Memories Ribbon Holder and Embellishment Shelf...just totally out of the blue as a token gift of friendship. I could not believe it. It's something I have always wanted and I had just bought one of the MM Embellishment Boxes on sale last week. As you may know I'm in the process of totally re-doing my upstairs combo den/scrap room into a NEW room that will be ALL for crafting. I'm going to get a new desk and workspace table and my plan is to have all white (or mostly white) bookcases and shelves an this was perfect. I've had the MM Embellishment on my WISH List for months along with this unit.

This is a picture my package and my new unit...after I opened it up --

I LOVE it and can't wait to get it hung up! I'm going to wait until I have my new furniture so that I know how my room will work out, but this is wonderful and a pleasant surprise.

And not only did it get this, but about a hour later, when my regular mail arrived, I found a gorgeous card that Sharon had made for me to go with the gift. It was a Happy Everything card and it was gorgeous. I have not take pics yet, but will share when I do.

What a day...then as I continued to open up mail (bills...blah)..then then came across another wonderful handmade card from another online friend (Rose), is is one of the Beauty MISfits and she also sent me a sweet RAK of gorgeous purple flowers to use for me card making. They are really very pretty and a set I do NOT have.

My day, went from feeling kind of YUK and lousy, to feeling like a very loved and lucky girl and that made me feel great!

My special thanks to both Sharon and Rose for their wonderful acts of kindness. Totally out of the blue and totally unexpected! You BOTH are awesome friends and I'm blessed to have you both in my life!

Thanks girls..!!

Happy Friday!!

It's Friday? Already?

As usual I am behind in keeping up with my blog! But, on the upside I have been doing very well at keeping up with my crafts and that's a plus.

I am up to date on the Project 365 pages and just finishes printing out some new pictures for this week's page. Nothing too exciting this week, so I'm not sure how this page will turn out. Lots of different pictures and not one really good theme? Hum!!

Last week, I ended up picking one them and using ALL picture of my new PINK Flat Iron that I had bought. I absolutely LOVE it and thought it would be easy and fun to create my page all about that. Kind of like when I bought my PINK Clarisonic and did a whole page on that.

These are couple pics of my Pink Sedu page from last week --

This week I also found a great new online Scrap Group to join. It's called the QVC Scrappers and I was invited to join by Kim, who is the Owner of the group. I had originally met Kim from shopping at her store on eBay "Kreative Kim". We we chatting a bit and come to find out and after finding out she owned three groups on Yahoo, I asked her which one would be good for me. A newbie Scrapbooker and card-maker! She suggested the QVC Scrappers and it's been great! I LOVE IT! The gals in the group all originally posted on the Q boards, much like the Beauty MISfits..they too broke off and started their own group.

I've already had a GREAT WEEK with them and we ALL had a super Shopping day with the sales on HSN on Thursday's craft shows. I also just found out that Kim has an online scrap store called Cutters Creek and after realizing all order ship FREE (for $35 an up)...I, of course, placed an order. This has been a BIG craft spending week for me..but it's ALL good. I'm hoping to get to IKEA soon and get my Craft Room totally re-done! No more couch and coffee tables for me....and not more combination upstairs den, I'm making it totally a Scrap Room. And so that I can remember......here are some pictures of what my room looks like now --

This how it looks when you first walk into the room. This is where is sit (on the couch) and my workspace now, is these sets of tables, coverd with suplies! The couch and tables will all move out and I plan to buy a new desk, new storage shelves and cubes and a large table for a workspace, oh and nice computer type chair to sit in! I think it'll be good for my back!

These are some of my current storage bins and I want to re-organize all these either onto a book case or a storage unit of some type. I also want to take down all my shelves, and move some around and make every thing work a little better together.

And this MESS, I plan to totally re-organize and put things into cube shelves in baskets, label more things and make everything easy to find! This set-up is a pain and not functional!!

I want to replace this unit too along with more
that are not shown here! I have TONS and TONS
of crafting supplies...but it ALL need to be much more organized!

WISH ME LUCK!!

And you are only seeing about 1/4 of the room and my goodies!

ARGH!!

Happy 4th of July!!

HAPPY 4 th!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day, full of fun and happiness!

Today, is going to be another craft day for me and I'm heading up to my room shorty. We were invited to an annual cookout, but DH is still battling a terrible cold, sore throat and on and off fever and Alex and Brian are both working. I'm not one who ever likes to go alone, so I opted to stay home. I think that maybe if it had been a nice HOT sunny day, I may have gone to rest and hit the pool, but today although not rainy (at last), is not all the warm and there are lots of clouds along with sun.

Lately, I've really not been up to doing much and I'm perfectly happy and content to stay home. I feel better, get less tired and achy and just LOVE my hobby. I also am a bit concerned that I may be getting DH's cold, as I have a scratchy throat today. I also opened all our windows and sprayed Lysol all over and used the wipes to wipe down the keyboards, phones and any surfaces....all in hopes of NOT passing along the cold. Today, I also added more Vitamin C and just HOPE I do not get it.

That's about it for me!! I also need to work on a page for this week and don't have many pictures....this may be a big MISH MASH page, as I have NO clue where to begin this week.

Yesterday, I also spend quite a bit of time making cards and the monthly challenge on the MISfits board. It was a sketch challenge and I made four different cards ALl based off the sketch (kind of in boredom), here they are:

Bye Bye...

Happy JULY! Where is SUMMER??

It's hard to believe that today is July 1st. It's still only in the 60's and our weather has been awful for weeks. We haven't seen the SUN in days and the few times it's been out, it has come out very late in the day (dinnertime) and only lasted a few hours.

GRRRR...this is SO not my kind of Summer and I sure hope it changes soon. Summer is already far to short for us...so I really would like the rest to be better! I'm such a Summer gal and do not like cold and Winter at ALL! As of now it sounds like the 3rd and 4th, may be nice, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I have been spending a lot of time crafting and that's been nice. I'm still planning to go to IKEA with Alex (maybe next week) and get a new desk, workspace table and maybe more storage. I was going to buy more, but I've decided to save some of the money I have for that project and put it away, in hopes of going to the QVC Beauty Bash again next year. It was so fun and even though it was exhausting, the more and more the girls talk about it, the more I want to go. To me, the best part is having he chance to meet the girls and that's why I loved it.

So..that about it for me...! I did finish my Page for this week and it's all based on Mom's 75th Birthday Luncheon. Here are some pictures of my page.

A Little About Me

My Photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, an illness I personally live with. I had to stop working in 2006 due to Fibro and Degenerative Disc Disease. It's been a tough road at times, but I have a wonderful family and fantastic friends. I am a Mom to two awesome sons (Ages 21 and 26) and a wife and friend to a wonderful Hubby. We live in a tiny coastal community in Massachusetts and have lived here all my life. My hubby and my boys are my whole world and mean every thing to me! I cherish all three of my guys!! I am very lucky to be blessed with wonderful friends. I adore and cherish each of my friends as much as my family! I am an avid card-maker and love all types and stamping, and also love coloring with my Copics. I'm very lucky to have this whole new world on online friends that I've met through my Craft Groups. HUGS TO YOU ALL!!
