Morning....

It's a cloudy and damp day here today and not so good for the Fibro body! But, today is also my day for a Chiropractic treatment, so that should help.

After that I plan to come home and continue working on the rest of my DeNami Cards from the second class on Sunday and also making myself a good workspace.

I found the coolest thing last night, when I was watching one of Suzanne Dean's You Tube Video's about using Copic Markers to color. She also did a demo of a little tool called a Bow-Easy, it's the coolest little tool that will make perfect bows. I think I may order one, they sell them here at Susana's Custom Art & Cards, and they are only $5.00. There is a shipping charge, but I think I may buy a stamp too, as they are some super cute Stamps here and the gals here all are designers. It's a cute store and she accepts PayPal, so I think I may place a small order -- I want that Bow-Easy and the only other place I saw it was on eBay, but it was for more money and didn't look quite the same.

So, as usual I am finding a NEW craft thing to try, but I am terrible with making little bows and this tool looks very easy to use? Has anyone tried anything like this? It seems very easy, so I'll let you know about it, once I arrives!

Happy Crafting.....have a nice day!

Happy Sunday!!

After a wonderful class at my LSS yesterday, today I will spend working on my Project 365 page for the week along with the second set of DeNami Cards I bought yesterday. My Fibro body, simply could not make it through the second class, so I purchased the kit to take home and hopefully will work on them today!

The DeNami classes are always one of my favorites and the cards are fantastic. Here is a picture of ALL ten cards I made in the morning (Blitz One) class:

And these are the Stamps that I purchased so that I can make my favorite cards again. You can buy any of these at DeNami Designs, and for those of you who are on Facebook or Twitter you can follow DeNami through the links on the bottom right of their Home Page - Click Here!

Here are a few more pics of my favorite cards from my class. I bought the stamps so that I will be able to recreate these cards and a few others.

I also have some NEWS to share about my groups. I am very HAPPY to say that Kim, the Owner of the QVC Scrappers group on Yahoo, offered me a Moderator role earlier this week, which I happily decided to take. I have such a LOVE for crafts and really have been so happy to have joined this group. Everyone is super nice and I have a lot of fun posting, shopping and taking part in the group challenges and swaps.

But, on the downside, I decided that in order to take on this Moderator role, I would need to give up that role at the Beauty MISfits, so I also stepped down from my role their as the Mod of the Fibromyalgia Beauties. It was a hard decision, but crafts is my first LOVE and makes me happy. I'll will still be a member of the MISfit and plan to stop by often, but I could NOT keep both roles as my online time it already too limited by Fibro. Crafts won for me and I'm thrilled. I'm also hosting my first Card Swap in October and thanks to Peggie and Jamie, we have now created a second Monthly Card Swap - Group II, which we will each take turns hosting. My specials thanks to you both for taking this on with me. Without your help I would not have been able to do this.

Another BIG event (well big for me)...is that I finally CRASHED and ordered my beginning set of Copic Markers from Kim at Cutter's Creek. Once I had my first Magnolia, (Tilda) stamps, I realized that I needed to at the very least buy the colors that would be best to color faces and my initial order was for "face" colors. I also added (6) more yesterday while shopping after class at my LSS, as they had a special going on of Buy 5 - Get One Free, which I could not pass up! I do think that once I really start using these, I may eventually switch to Copics, but I still plan to use LePlumme for now and slowly add more colors (that LePlumme doesn't make) to my Copic Collection. I do admit they are superb markers and the colors and shading advantages are amazing....I only WISH they were NOT quite so expensive!

So...as you can tell, I've had a very fun filled week of crafting and craft shopping. Today, I plan to get out my Copics and start using them while making more cards!

It's a rainy Sunday here and this to me, is the perfect way to spend a rainy Sunday. I hope you all have a great day of relaxing and crafting too!

Friday....WooHOO!

I just LOVE Friday, but then again, who doesn't? It's a beautiful day here and back to more normal fall-like temps after having a hot and humid day yesterday.

Today, was a busy day, but fun. I had a 9:30 doctor's appointment for blood work, and then went directly from there for my eye exam. Thankfully, that went well and there was no change this year, so that was good for a change. I can still use the same contacts and have a new RX, to order more when I need them. She did say that at night I should probably simply wear magnifier glasses (250) for reading and being on the computer and leave my contacts out. I think I'll try that and see if my eye feel less tired.

After my appointments I came home to find some goodies (craft things) that had arrived. One package was my Petaloo/Flower set from Flowers to Flourishes and it was a special last week and a great deal, tons of gorgeous Petaloo flowers, I love it. (Thanks Kelly). Then the second package was from Kim at Cutters CreekOne and this package contained the VERY first (5) Copics that will now I'm sure become the first of many Copic markers. I've been so reluctant to buy Copics, but now that I have some Magnolia Stamps, I really needed some face colors. I picked out five that were suggested on the Magnolia site and they look nice. I've FINALLY decided I will slowly continue to buy one or two every time I place an order or when I'm at my LSS. I'll also browse on eBay and hopefully slowly build up a collection. I do think these will be awesome and thanks Kim for shipping them so fast! :)

Just after I put those away and was about to start a project, Brian called and wanted me to come down to the Pub for Lunch. I really didn't want to, but he talked me into it and wanted me to bring his Sterling chain that he left here...so I went. I had one of his "Beach Bum" drinks...they are so good and I ordered a burger...(not on my diet), but it was de-lish and he ate some too, so that was good. Of course, he treated me and that was even better. Then I came home and started catching up on emails and my groups, and started to pack my craft tote for a DeNami Stamp class that I am taking tomorrow at my LSS.

Now..its' just about 7PM and I'm exhausted, so I'm going to pick up my room, jump in the shower and relax.

Goodnight and have a super weekend....

The LAST Day of SUMMER....

Today is officially the LAST day of SUMMER....what a bummer! On the upside, it is absolutely a gorgeous day and the outlook for the whole week is looking nice, warm and very much summer like, which is great!

It sure has changed at night and the early morning, it's getting dark early again and when I get up, it's back to being pitch black in the morning, YUK! That certainly doesn't help me with getting up, but I have been staying up later lately and trying to make the day last longer!

I had a really nice weekend and spent a ton of time crafting with was awesome. I had NO clue what I originally want to make for my Project 365 page, and then decided to use pictures of some of my recent cards. I did a whole fall theme and as it turns out, I'm very happy with the page. Here are come pictures of my Week 38 page.

I also worked on some Fall cards that will be for my Swap in October and some Thanksgiving cards too. Here are some of those pictures --

A fun crafting day....

Today was my best crafting day in a while. I had a lot of free time and really wanted to work on my "Two Peas" month card challenge.

This month the challenge was to make three different Halloween Cards and there was a homework challenge to make a four item to match. I made a Halloween Goodie bag as my homework challenge and it was one of the first things I've made using my SCAL program. I cut the cut little bag using a SCAL cut that one of the gals in my craft group had been kind enough to share with me.

I just finished up my cards when Alex came home for school and he thought there were great...well until he realized they were NOT my designs. He was still impressed at how well I did with them, but had been really impressed when he thought I had designed them too. Nope, not yet, but if I keep practicing, in time, I'll be this creative on my own.

Here are my cards and my little goodie bag. I really enjoyed this class and have learned a lot by taking all the FREE card classes that Two Peas offers each month. I hope they do this again next year too.

It's Monday already?

It's getting scary seeing how fast the times flies by lately. I can NOT believe the weekend is over already and hubby is working and Alex is back at school.

Friday, we had sad news after we learned by that Brain's (Uncle Mike) his Dad's brother, died unexpectedly at the young age of 59. He was at his daughter's college moving her in with his wife and suddenly collapsed...he was rushed to the hospital, but sadly died that morning apparently of a massive heart attack. So sad and it brings back memories or losing my very on Dad of 58, also of a massive attack. I feel so badly for his wife and daughter who with him at the time. He chose to have no services, which always make me sad too, but for some reason, my Ex's family prefers that. When Brian lost both his dear Grand Parents, they too, did not have any services. I find that very hard...I tend to need to say goodbye, but I know every one is different!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On a happier note, Patty called me on Saturday and out of the blue we decided to take a Great Impression card class yesterday after finding it they had space. It was fun and as always I really like most of the cards and bought some new stamps. I also signed up for the October class which will be snowmen...my favorite! Here are some pics of the cards we did yesterday --

The Pumpkin with the Mouse, the Turkey and the Ghost were my favorites and I bought those stamps. The Free Stamps was the Pumpkins on the Vines, which I also like.

Well....so that was my Sunday...I'm off to craft more and need to finish up my Project 365 page for the week! I did one, but didn't like it, so I'm starting over again! LOL

Happy Crafting

Crafting a ton...and loving it!!

The past week was a great week for crafting and I did a lot. I'm working a lot on Christmas Cards right now and will post a few of them below. I also finsihed up my project 365 page for the week too!

This week I am focusing on working on my Halloween Bags for our group swap and also taking time to work a lot more with my new software, (DS and SCAL), which I really like. I had also added four new Cricut Cartridges to my library last month, so I have lots of new goodies to keep me busy!

I'm find the WAGON ride has good days and bad. Most days have been pretty easy...the hard part was a ton of great sale on the long weekend. I did crash on Saturday at ScrapMart, and bought 3 new sets of Nesties. You just can NOT be a price of $13.99 and Free Shipping. Other than that, I'm doing well and hope to continue!

I'm off now to get crafting, but these are pictures of my last Project 365 Page and two of my most recent cards. Once was for a Challenge and one is for Christmas!

What a beautiful week....

This past week has been fabulous! The sun has been shining every day....the skies are that gorgeous bright blue color and there is no humidity. It has been the best week, of the entire Summer....with temps in the 70's-80's! I LOVE IT!

It's also going to be gorgeous ALL weekend and that is another plus, we really do NOT get weather this nice, this often and after our miserable Spring...this is such a treat.

My weekend involves lots of crafting and spending lot of time in my new Craft Room. I LOVE this room and I am so pleased with having this hobby to keep my busy and very content. DH is doing yard work today (cleaning up for Fall) and Alex just went into work a few hours for some extra money.

I just "crashed" off the Craft Wagon after getting an email from SCRAP MART telling me that they had all their Nesties on sale for only $14.99 for the next 36 hours. That one got me and I quickly order 3 sets that I had been wanted for a long time. I bought the Large Scalloped Circles, the new Blossom 2 and the Large Scalloped Octagon set. All for $41 with FREE SHIPPING, a price that got me for sure!

Now..I'm off to confess my CRASH to my scrap group and HOPE they will all understand!

September 1st -- Back to school!!

It's back to school today for DS (Alex), and this is the first day of his Senior year in High School...! Wow does time fly! I can hardly believe that my "Baby" will be graduating in the Spring.....where does the time go!

It's also another gorgeous day here in New England and a perfect week for the first week in September. The morning temps and nights are very cool already (50's), but the sun warms things up fast and my late morning it was back up in the mid 70's and gorgeous. This week may be the first FULL week for good weather in a long time. The forecast calls for lots of sunshine, blue skies, no rain and no humidity in sight...the absolute best weather! LOVE IT!

Today, I spent a lot of time working on new challenges in my Craft Group and also finished up my Project 365 page for last week. I'm still in the "Color" based them and last week, my color was BLUE! -- Here are the pictures of my completed page --

Well I have to run now....Brian is here and I want to hang out a bit and talk with to him!

Bye for now...

A Little About Me

My Photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, an illness I personally live with. I had to stop working in 2006 due to Fibro and Degenerative Disc Disease. It's been a tough road at times, but I have a wonderful family and fantastic friends. I am a Mom to two awesome sons (Ages 21 and 26) and a wife and friend to a wonderful Hubby. We live in a tiny coastal community in Massachusetts and have lived here all my life. My hubby and my boys are my whole world and mean every thing to me! I cherish all three of my guys!! I am very lucky to be blessed with wonderful friends. I adore and cherish each of my friends as much as my family! I am an avid card-maker and love all types and stamping, and also love coloring with my Copics. I'm very lucky to have this whole new world on online friends that I've met through my Craft Groups. HUGS TO YOU ALL!!
