Today, I started my day by head over to the SALE a Pez-a-doodle Designs and picked up some great deals. Marti has made the decision to close her store and has put everything on sale. If you are in need of some supplies, hop on over and check out her deals.
I'm here now to post a card I finished up last night and it was created for the Paper Scraps challenge over at SSC. This week's challenge was to create a card using homemade spiral flowers. If you have never tried them, they are very easy and fun to make and you can find an easy tutorial HERE! For a different look you can use deco edge scissors to cut your spirals. They also look best when made with double sided paper.
Because this is a scrap challenge, my card, (all except the base), was created entirely from my scrap bin. I used a Tim Holtz die to cut the large red background flower and also the black/white flower. Then, I realized I did not have enough red to make my spiral flower, so I simply used a dark pink, and then sprayed it red with my Copic ABS. That is a wonderful benefit of having the Air Brush, perfect for this card. I hand cut my leaves and stem from green scraps and used a border punch to create a little ground area.
My next card is for the new Freebie Digi Challenge over at Crafter's Digital Arts Center. Several of the digi designers donated images for this challenge and you may chose whichever one you prefer and make a card for the challenge. It's also a great way to find new designers and the group is full of free digis, tutorials, videos and so much much. I chose this wonderful 'Pumpkin' image which was donated by Stef Hughes and this is the card that I created with her wonderful image.
And my last card for today, was created for with several challenges in mind and it's also going to be one of my Christmas Cards. I've been trying to get a nice head start on my cards and I love it when I can work it into a challenge. My card was created with an adorable digi image from Pink Cat Studio. This cute is Lily with Hot Cocoa and I have used her in many cards. If you would like to add her to your digi collection, you can find her HERE!
This card is being submitted to the following challenges:

Hi Lisa! It's been a while since I've visited blogs and I'm trying to catch up today by updating mine and reading all my followers blogs. I love your cards and your blog. But unlike you I hate the summer! My favorite season is the fall! Love the crisp air and the color changes.
ReplyDeleteSee you at SQC! By the way, I would love to see an SQC badge on your side bar!
