I have a few new cards to share today and my first is from one of my favorite new artists - Her name is Hannah Lynn Disney and she's amazing. You can see her work on her website here, and also at her ETSY store~Here. I initially saw some of her images on my friend's Jan and Dana blogs. They have both colored her images so wonderfully and really make them look fantastic! Dana has done a wonderful tutorial coloring with Prisma Pencils, which you can find on her blog HERE! I also LOVE the wonderful cards that Jan has created with these images and think they both are amazing crafters!! If you want so see these images in vibrant gorgeous colors, be sure to check out the colored versions done by Hannah!! They are stunning!!
My card was inspired by our new challenge over at the Color-Me Creative Classroom. It's the new Copic Coloring Challenge and this week we've been challenged to color Brunette Hair. I knew that using one of Hannah's images would be fabulous as most have long flowing hair. This image I bought from her Etsy Store and it's called Tropical Mermaid and this is the card I created for the Challenge.
And this is a close up version which I am including to show you WHY I love the Cryogen cardstock so much. It has a wonderful subtle shimmer and makes your cards and colors sparkle!! It's by far my favorite cardstock for Copic Coloring.
My wonderful mermaid card is being submitted to each of these challenges and everyone is welcome to join the fun -

I totally enjoy creating CAS cards and taking part in this challenge every Sunday has been a great way for me to learn how to create this style of cards. I'm also a big fan of the CAS Design Team and LOVE the wonderful inspiration they all bring to us each week!
And speaking of a great team and wonderful inspiration, I also always look forward to Sketch Sunday each Sunday over at the Stars and Stamps Blog and today was a hard one for me. I'm sure you'll laugh, but I had such a struggle with cutting the angles for this card and ALWAYS do! Angles and me just do NOT mix - I also mess up and need to cut several times before I get them to work out. If you look closely, you see that my angles are NOT the same as the sketch, but after 4 attempts, I was very pleased to get this done.
If anyone has some easy way to teach me how to cut angles....Please feel free to leave me a comment. I don't' know why it is, but I just do NOT get it? In the meantime - I'm sharing a copy of this week's sketch here followed by my card. Despite my cutting issues, I really did like the challenge and love this style too!
Sketch # 73
My Card
I am off to create some more cards and really need to find a very easy and FUN idea for Father's Day! I really do NOT like the card I had made and just can NOT seem to find some cute whimsical types images. Wish me luck!!
Update: I am back with one last card for today and this cutie was inspired by the new challenge over at Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenge blog. The challenges is called Lace and Pearls and it's up to you as to how you want to use them on your project. I stared by coloring my little Ava image with my Copics and then used my Grand Calibur to cut a fun 'shaped card'. I then picked out a heart-shaped doily and added a little lavender heart in the middle. I took some more lace and a lace flower and added them both to the top of my card and used Viva Decor Pearl Pens to add some pretty pink/lavender pearls to my card.
And that will be it for today! I'm really tired now and looking forward to simply resting and relaxing! Hoping everyone enjoys the rest of your weekend!!

WOW! You colored that Hannah image to perfection! Gorgeous! As for the angles, I just cut a piece of paper that covers about half of my card front. I marked 3.5" on the edge of the right side with a little pencil mark, then did the same thing about 2.25" up from the bottom on the left side. I inserted the paper in my cutter at an angle, so that both pencil marks lined up on the cutting edge, and cut it! It leaves you with a nice angle, much like the one you already made! LOL Your card looks great :)
