I have "found" so many cool things while organizing and it kind of feels like I had been on a little shopping spree. My new goal is to use up a lot of what I have before I buy more. Ya, I know, we all say that and still shop, but that's because there is always something new!! I'm trying to keep the products that I use every day, a lot closer to my desk for easy access. It's quite a project, but once I am all done, I know it will be worth all this time and effort!
Today, I wanted to share some of the cards/projects I made a Stamp Camp along with a few more I made while I was taking some cleaning breaks.
These first few images are all from the Stamp Camp Workshop I took this past weekend at my LSS. It was a long day and I had fun, but in the end, there are some things that are really not my style and not necessarily projects I would make. I guess deep down, I'm very much a cardmaker and that's what I really love to create.
Here is a picture that pretty much show much desk full of all the things we made in the workshop. It's a bit messy, but I had just unpacked it all and tried to squeeze it all into one photo. The pictures the follow are some of my favorite projects and the ones I loved working on most.
What a Mess !!!
I deleted most of the images, as it was just so messy!!
A fun technique and nice card. We used Distress Inks, long with
Distress Stickles to color the tree and then heat set it!!
This card was created with one of the new
Stamp/Emboss Sets by Hero Arts/Sizzix!! Super Easy!!
This was another fun card and we used another fun technique to create
the background. We also colored the poinsettia and leaves with Distress Inks and then
sprayed them with Perfect Pearls mist!! Fabulous Shine!!
This little ornament was really fun and is
so pretty in person!! I will make these again!!
It was created on a glass slide using Alcohol Inks
and then stamped again to remove ink, leaving
the snowflake image!! Awesome!!
I really LOVE, this card, it's so easy, but with all
the layers and the glitter cardstock, it's so pretty and sparkles!
These next two cards were created while I took a cleaning break yesterday and were inspired by the current CAS Challenge over at 'The Outlawz'. The theme is actually 'Leaves', but I kind of went with 'Trees' as I didn't really have any good leave stamp or images.
This card ended up being my favorite. It's an old stamp from my stash.
I stamped in Versamark and then Heat Embossed it with Gold Powder. I then
simply matted it on two more layers and added a matching bow and bling!!
This was the first card I created and it seemed like it needed more?
I used one of my Memory Box Dies and cute it twice in contrasting
colors. I then used an Embossed folder to create the border on the olive mat and
put it all together on a dark brown card base.
I'm off now to see if I can manage to make at least ONE card today? I felt lost if I dont' have any time to create, and I want to try my hand at the new Color Combo Challenge at The Outlawz - This is a copy of the new color swatch and the twist this week is to add something that is "Recycled". When I see these colors I immediately think of Halloween, so that's likely what I will work on!!
Color Q is also hosting a fun color themed challenge and I'm hoping to incorporate all the colors today and play along in their challenge too! This is a copy of the colors for their current challenge.
Afternoon Update: I'm back to share my latest card which has been inspired by several of the new challenges posted this week. I started with a cute little Halloween digi image from Bugaboo and colored it with with my Copics. To make my little Ghost sparkle, I coated him with a layer of Glamour Dust. I then cute out the image with a Nestie die and cut a black/spider web background with another die. I then took some scrap ribbon and threaded it through the top of the die and tied on a little bow. I added a little moon and black bat from my stash. I then took another scrap and cut a border with one of my new Nestie Border dies, and put it all together. I finished it up by embossing on my sentiment with White Embossing Powder!
This Happy Halloween card was inspired and is being submitted to each of these new challenges:
- The Outlawz - Color Combo Challenge - with a Recycled item (Ribbon/Brad)

Oh my goodness, you've been busy! Fantastic cards but I have to say I'm in love with your copic storage case! I would love to find something like that for my desk! Thanks for playing along with us over at SOS this week :)
ReplyDeleteHoly moly, what a great set up! I love all those markers…so pretty. I am also in the midst of a craft room clean-up. It is fun uncovering things you forgot you owned. Yesterday I was purging old scraps of Halloween papers and I made a quick card from the scraps before I pitched them. Like you said, there is always something new out there! I have been a paperholic for more than a dozen years, so I think I can finally let go of really old scraps (that is what I am currently working on in my clean up process.)
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about stamp camp cards not really being your style, but they are good cards and it is relaxing crafting with friends without having to design.
Your Bugaboo card is super adorable!
