Happy Halloween & Happy Monday!!

What are you doing today?   Are you one of those people who totally love Halloween and go all out in decorating?   Me...not sure much!!   It's really just another day for me now and I haven't been out to a Halloween party of event in ages.   I have very little in Halloween Decor and this year, it seemed to sneak up on us quickly at the end, that I didn't even think about having Hubby dig out the few things I do have up in the attic.   It's just not a big thing to me and really never has been.  I actually enjoyed it a lot more, when my boys were young and we would take them out trick-or-treating.   I did bag up a bunch of candy into little goodie bags for the neighborhood kids, but I have no idea how many we'll have this year.  Many of the kids are like mine, grown and have now moved out on their own.  I'll bet in another couple of years there won't be many left.  Even the few that are still around are getting older, so I'm not sure how many little ones are left to go out.

I have two new cards to share today and both were created with some new challenges in mind.  The first card is for a few different challenges and the design was based on this week's sketch over at the Stars and Stamps Blog.   This week we are working with Sketch #93, which I copied over to share with you:

My card is a happy little boy card that will be fun for a Soldier to send home to his/her son.  I started with one of my older pre-colored digis.   I tend to color often when I'm not feeling so great and then put the images away for cards at a later time.  This little cutie is from Bugaboo and was colored with Copics.  I also used scraps from my Recycle bin to create the blue checkered border and and the mats for my image. Once I had the card done, I tied on two red sparkling buttons with blue/white baker's twine!!

This card is being submitted to each of these challenges:
And my next card was actually one that I finished up yesterday, after I had done by post.   It's was a fun Winter/ Christmas themed card and was inspired by a variety of new challenges.   I started this card by picking out a snowflake embossing folder to emboss the front on my card in a snowflake theme.  Once I had the card embossed, I took some Star Dust Stickles and dabbed them all over the front of the card to add some sparkle and shin.   While that was drying, I used one of my Memory Box dies to cut my snowflake, which I then layered over a light blue flower and embellished with tiny blue pearls.   I tied on a matching button, added some blue ribbon and my card was done!!   Fun and Easy!!

This card is being submitted to these new challenges, and like those above - everyone is welcome to play:
And now I'm off to play a bit more with my Cameo and then have an early supper!  I want to have that all done before the trick-or-treaters start visiting.  I hope they all come pretty early and hope we don't end up with lots of left over candy.  It's too much temptation to have it here laying around.  Luckily, I don't really like most of what Hubby bought, which is great, because I don't want to be eating it!  :)

Wishing you all a nice night and for those of you who are celebrating -- Happy Halloween!!   Hoping every one stays safe and has FUN!

A Little About Me

My Photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, an illness I personally live with. I had to stop working in 2006 due to Fibro and Degenerative Disc Disease. It's been a tough road at times, but I have a wonderful family and fantastic friends. I am a Mom to two awesome sons (Ages 21 and 26) and a wife and friend to a wonderful Hubby. We live in a tiny coastal community in Massachusetts and have lived here all my life. My hubby and my boys are my whole world and mean every thing to me! I cherish all three of my guys!! I am very lucky to be blessed with wonderful friends. I adore and cherish each of my friends as much as my family! I am an avid card-maker and love all types and stamping, and also love coloring with my Copics. I'm very lucky to have this whole new world on online friends that I've met through my Craft Groups. HUGS TO YOU ALL!!
