Brrrr......Winter is back...!!

....And I do not like it, not one bit.   It was sooooo cold and windy overnight, much more like a mid-winter night, then an early Spring night.  It's hard to believe that a week ago, we had temps up in the 70's and now it's back in the 30's and 40's!!   YUK!!!

I'm also not feeling very good today and have a lot of on my mind.  I can tell it's just not one of my best days, so I'm keeping this post short and sweet.  I think I may even go lay down and have a nap and then hope to wake up to a better afternoon?

In today's class we focused on Embossing and Embossing powders and I have three new tags to share.  Each was created using a different technique and each one was actually fun and easy to create.   This first tag was featured embossing deep colors with clear embossing powder and all the inks I used on this tag are Distress Inks.

My next tag was one that is very easy to create, but makes a cool impact.   This is a technique I have done before in classes at my LSS, I had forgotten just how much I love the end result.   After trying it again today, I'm thinking this would be very cool do use for punched or die cut shapes and that you could make some very unique elements!  My thought was make these in a few colors and then punching or die-cutting pieces to create some very cool, dimensional flowers!!

And this is the 3rd tag and technique we learned today.  I have a feeling I did NOT fully emboss mine tag, as I did not get the same final result that Tim did on his.   It's another easy and fun technique, and I will definitely be trying this one again!

Hope you are having a nice day!   See you all again tomorrow.....

Happy Crafting!!

  4. lisa, These tags are just beautiful. Stunning colors. I love all three of them. I'm sorry you are not feeling up to par today. I hope a nap helped. This weather is terrible. I was walking across a parking lot this morning and my head felt like it was split open right above my eyebrows. That's how cold the wind was. I was actually in pain.I don't ever remember feeling that much pain from cold wind before. NOT NICE!!! Lets hope for better weather real soon.

A Little About Me

Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, an illness I personally live with. I had to stop working in 2006 due to Fibro and Degenerative Disc Disease. It's been a tough road at times, but I have a wonderful family and fantastic friends. I am a Mom to two awesome sons (Ages 21 and 26) and a wife and friend to a wonderful Hubby. We live in a tiny coastal community in Massachusetts and have lived here all my life. My hubby and my boys are my whole world and mean every thing to me! I cherish all three of my guys!! I am very lucky to be blessed with wonderful friends. I adore and cherish each of my friends as much as my family! I am an avid card-maker and love all types and stamping, and also love coloring with my Copics. I'm very lucky to have this whole new world on online friends that I've met through my Craft Groups. HUGS TO YOU ALL!!
