Argh!!! A total fail....

   I love to take part in the "90 Minute Scrambles" that are hosted every other week over that Hero Arts Flickr Group.   I actually look forward to them and find them a great challenge, so when I missed the last one, I was especially excited for yesterday's Scramble!   If you have never tried a "Scramble" I invite you to join the group and give it a try, the next Scramble will be hosted in two weeks and the group, like the Scrambles are OPEN to all.

    Yesterday, I had my desk cleaned and ready go.   We never know what our theme will be, so there is not much you can do to be ready, but have some inks and cardstock ready.   Finally, it was 4 PM and the Scramble was posted with all the details and I was eager to get started, as always.  Of course, being this is a timed even I tend to read very quickly through the rules, BAD IDEA and I've now learned that I will take my time from now on.   In my hurry, to get creating the keys things I noted to myself was to crated an ATC or Bookmark, both things I rarely make and that I think threw me off from the get go.  I do recall reading that you must use neutral colors and add a Hint for at least three other colors.   But, apparently my Fibro Fog was in full force yesterday, as I did NOT even get that part right.   In the end, I did manage to create two projects, a bookmark and an ATC, but both were FAILS...big time, because neither were Neutrals...Oops and neither contained only splashes of other colors.    Yikes!!   How embarrassing was that to start to post them and THEN realize I had it totally WRONG?  Oh my!!  

   Needless to say, I quickly deleted mine and posted an apology to Heather for my huge error, and then did take time to comment on all those who did it right.   And for me, struggling for two projects that I never make was a bigger mistake, had I read it RIGHT, I would have made cards....!  YIKES!!

   Today, I'm sharing the two projects here, but simply for fun.  I also will readily admit, that I don't LOVE how either came out, and I think that was because both of these projects are not the norm for me....I'm a card-maker and that's my passion and love.  No scrap-booking for me, no bookmarks and I've only made one other ATC.  While I admire those who love do try all kinds of paper-crafting, which I have done, I've learned that card are what I love, and what I seem to have learned to do best...so I'm sticking to that!!

  My Bookmark

    I should note that I did follow the rules as far as using Hero Projects and started this all with a brand new stamps that just arrived in my mailbox yesterday.  It's called "Fresh Cut Pebble Pattern CG628" a wonderful new background stamp from Hero/Basic Grey.   The floral embossed image is also from Hero and that's from a set I can't seem to find?   Geesh, I just had it yesterday, where could it be??  (Will update when I find it).  I also used my Pool Hero Layering Papers and Shadow Inks, and then still felt it needed something, so I cut the word "read" an Alpha Die set from Memory Box.   I think I'll keep the base and take of the flowers to use for another card, but I'm so not loving this, so it's best to recycle!!

   My second project was an ATC and I knew right away that these are small, so I thought it would be fun for me to use on the the cute "Dog" sets, which is "I Love my Dog - CL134"!  I quickly stamped on my lil' pup and a matching sentiment and colored them up with my Copics and a Wink of Stella Marker.  I then added a little mat and adhered it all to a black ATC Cardstock base.

  This is my favorite of the two projects and I'll keep this and possible use it on a card!!  Silly me, I wish I had read the rules better, so I could have made cards from the start!!  LOL!   So that's my lesson from yesterday.  Playing in Scrambles and Challenges is always so FUN, but BE SURE to take the time in reading the guidelines, so you don't end up with two FAILS, both at the same time.

   On a happier note I have two cards to share and both of these were done earlier in the day, while I was waiting to play in the Scramble.  The first is another "Birthday Card" and this one is needed for another Male, my nephew, so I tried to keep the a masculine theme and hope this worked out !!

  This one started with a solid black card base and the teal striped paper that I knew I would ad on top.  I then used this SSS Die to cut out the 3 squares that run across the top and added an second layer of black cardstock behind the windows that I first embossed in a Star pattern, to go with my Star Theme.  I then used a set of Nestie Star Dies to cute 3 starts and the strip that runs across the card, along with one small star, cut from the teal paper.  I added the Happy Birthday Sentiment, which is from Reverse Confetti and finished it off with a few black and teal sequins.  I do hope the teal is not too bright for a guy, but it I think the stripes will make it work okay.

  And last is my favorite of all these cards and that's because it came out well, (Yaay), and it also has some f my favorite colors --- Purple and Lavender!

   This one started with this pretty butterfly border image, which is an older favorite from Bugaboo Stamps.  I colored it all in shades of Purple and Lavender and also had some sparkle with my Clear Wink of Stella Marker (which never shows well in photos, sad to say.  I then mounted it onto some light purple vellum, that I found in my stash earlier this week, and have no clue where I bought it.  I added some contrasted black stripes and adhered that piece across the top of my lavender card, another from Hero Arts, of course.  The Sentiment is also from Hero Arts - Good Friends CL578 and as stamped in a Lavender Luxe Ink and then clear embossed.   This card was finished off with a few matching sequins, which is my latest love for added a few blingy pieces!!

Puppies, Purple and Pretty.....

....just a few of my favorite things and all little hints to the type and style of new card I have to share today.   I started one of these yesterday, but never did have time to write a blog post, so I am very happy to be sharing it with a new batch today.

   My very first card is the one I started yesterday as soon as I saw the new "Tag It" inspired Challenge over at the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog.   Now, I had to admit, that I'm not one who makes many "tags", but I sure know many crafters who always create tags and they are amazing.  I've created lots of tags in "technique" classes, and I have all of them saved on "Rings" so I can go back and review what I learned and use it over!!    But, other than those and a few tags I have die cut for gifts, it's just something I've never developed a great talent for.

   However, lately I've learned to love tags in a whole new way and that is to use them on my cards, which is exactly what it did with this card, by creating a simply white tag which I used for my Sentiment.  I also used some of my all time favorite papers, Viola by Memory Box, (which I am hoarding), since it's not longer made and is extremely hard to find!!   I loved it from day one, so when it was available I bought a LOT, but I have to admit, it's hard to use, since I love it so much and don't want to use up my stash.   However, for this week, because I just LOVE it so much, I used it on a few cards and cut into one of my 12 X 12 sheets, which are even more limited to me!!   I do HOPE that Dave will decide to bring it back at some point, especially since I know I'm not the only one who LOVES it!!    If you don't recall it, this photo from the MB site, I'm sure will refresh your Memory!!  And if you ever see any 6X6 pads available, let me know, because I will be happy to add any more I can find!!

   This sweet card is one that includes my favorite piece from the entire collection.  It's a tiny floral pattern, but also has some wording about Flowers and I used that particular section on the left hand side on my card.  I then match it with some teal Polka Dotted and Striped papers that were in my stash and even die cut a little heart in the same pattern.  My sentiment "tag" I created with a Nestie Die and a simply one hold punch and finished it off with a white button and teal twine.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts is a clear set called Fancy Basics" which I love for the bold script style lettering.  These sentiments always pack a punch and I love the selection in the set. 

     The second card I created is for this month's Card Chain and I'm sharing it here only to show how I again used the same papers.   The names have not been drawn yet, so I'm hoping the person that will receive it, doesn't see it on my blog.   It was also based on a Sketch, which you can see over on the Card Chain Blog!!   It was actually this sketch that I used on this card that inspired me to use it on my challenge card above!  

   Next, I have what I can another SUPER easy card and it was created with another lovely pre-colored image from Lily of the Valley.   I loved this "Wild Flower" set from the very first time I saw it and I think that was last fall.  I had bought it along with some adorable Christmas images and some super cute puppy images that I also love.   This pretty Vase of Flowers is so pretty and really makes me LONG for Spring and Summer even more.   And while, I don't often use pre-colored images, those from LOTV are stunning and I have a few sets that I absolutely LOVE.   It's always good to have on hand, just in case I need a card in a BIG hurry and don't have any MOJO!!  I also love to cut them down to various sizes and shapes and design a nice matching card background!!    NOTE:   These are NOW also sold in Black and White pads, so that you can color your own and I love that idea too, not to mention all their gorgeous stamps!!

  My next card was created for another new challenge that I am also enjoying!  It's called The Card Concept Challenge, and there are a variety of cards styles that you can use on your card.   There is also an inspiration image for each challenge and this what we have for this week.  

  As you can see I was inspired by the fun colors and also created my card in what I consider to be "Clean and Layered" Style.   To read more about the styles, please head on over to the blog and go HERE!!   This card would also work out well for the SSS Challenge and I will likely submit it there too!!

   My card was created with the wonderful white  "Wood Grain" cardstock, from SSS)!   I just love this cardstock and the added texture it add to any card, it's also a nice heavyweight and that's what also makes it perfect to use for card bases.   Next, I pulled out some dark Brown cardstock, along with some Lime Green and some "Polka Dotted" paper from Echo Park.  I used this RC Scallop die to cut my scalloped border and then simply used my paper trimmer to cut a thin strip in Lime and Brown.  I created my "Tag" with the wonderful "Tag It' Die Set from Reverse Confetti and my Sentiment is from a Technique Tuesday stamp set, that I've had in my stash for ages.  I also colored a little Wooden heart to match and added on a tiny strip of Lime Green to make another border on top of my polka dotted section!!

 And for the Puppies, I have a new card that I created using some of my favorite "Puppy themed" goodies from Paper Smooches, who also I shopped with today after seeing the latest goodies released in the store....!!   I also created this card for the Current "Anything Goes" Sparks Challenge and will also submit it for a chance to win a Guest Design Spot coming up in April, that I would love to take part in.  I'm a huge fan and own several of their fun stamps and adorable dies.  I especially love the "Whimsical" style of the stamp sets and find I often use their Sentiments on my card!   They make me smile and that's always FUN!!

   For this card, I pulled out my "Santa Paws" Stamp set, a favorite for me, because it features this adorable little Doxie, which I stamped direct to my card and then also onto some Polka Dotted paper, by Echo Park (a scrap piece from the card above).  I then hand cut my cute little Doxie and put him aside, while I die cut my sweet little Dog House and his Bone, from this "Dog Icons" die set, which I totally LOVE!!  U added his cute little dog house first, and then layered my Doxie on top and using my Copics colored him a nice grassy area to play.   I then cut all this out and adhered it to a cute little Blue and White card base which I created from this cute MB Cardstock.   The sentiment is also from another PS, which is called "Lucky Dog".    I also added one of the little Paw Prints to the back on my card and use them often on cards that I donate to my local Dachshund Rescues.   

   My last card today, is another challenge card and also features another cute new Stamp Set, "Cool Chicks" from Penny Black.  This is one I bought at my LSS on my last visit and I feel in love with the images as well as the fact that I had a Puppy and a Puppy sentiment too.  It's from the New Release and this card was inspired by the newest Sketch over at "Cas(E) This Sketch".  This is a copy of that sketch I have brought over to share with you.

My Card

     I colored up this little cutie pie with my Copics and Wink of Stella Markers and then cut out my image using a nestie die.  I then matted it onto some black patterned paper, and used my WRMK Chomper to cut the edges to match the Nestie.  I then found some gorgeous "Purple" Vellum in my stash and new that would match perfectly with my little image, so I cut that to match the design and added to that my card base first.  I then added on my "Cool Chickie and her Beloved Puppy" and finished off my card with the Puppy Love sentiment, which I punched out with my Window Word die from Stampin' Up.

   I also want to share CONGRATULATIONS to one of my online crafty Friends, "Maureen Merritt", who I first met about five years ago in one of the online craft groups.    "Mo", as I know her,  has turned out to be one amazing designer and is well known throughout the craft world for her fabulous CAS Style.  I greatly admire her talent and have always thought of her as one very talented designer.   When I read today that she was now part of the Cas(E) This Sketch team, I was thrilled, as I know she'll be an assets to the team!   Way to go, Mo, I am so happy for you and delighted you are now part of the Design Team at CTS!!   Congratulations!!

   That's it for me!!  I had a great day, not only did a finish up a lot of cards, I also have fun buying some new goodies and am very much looking forward to the next Online Card Class -- CAS 3,  which starts on Monday!!   Woohoo!  

Creative Time = Fun and Relaxation!

....and today has turned out to be a very creative and fun day for me.   I was up pretty early and took advantage of that time, to get all my chores done right away, so that I could focus on spending extra time in my craft room today!!

      The end result is that was was able to work on some new cards and I'm very happy to have four to share with you today!  All of these were inspired by new challenges and I really enjoyed making every one.

      My first card of the day was created for the newest "SFYTT Challenge" over at Reverse Confetti.  If you are new to this challenge it's a really fun sketch challenge and the initials stand for "Sketch For You To Try" which you'll find on the blog HERE!!  Reverse Confetti has also become one of my favorite new online crafty stores and I especially LOVE their stamps and dies and am very excited knowing that a new release will be coming out on March 8th.   WooHoo!!

    This is a copy of the sketch that they have provided us for the March Challenge and I hope you will join me and play along and don't forget to stop by their store too!!

SFYTT #10

My Card

   As you can see I'm using some awesome new designer papers and these are from a new Stampin' Up Collection, called "Kaleidoscope Designer Series", and the colors and patterns are very trendy!!  A new LOVE for me, which means, I will be ordering more!   I with a nice Black Hero Hues Card and then layered on some gorgeous Pool layering paper, also from Hero.  Next I used the Kaleidoscope paper to cut all my elements and also used this fabulous Die set, a favorite from Reverse Confetti.  The sentiment is also from Reverse Confetti "Lots to Say" and is one I've used many times, another new love!!  I finished off my card by adding my Black and Teal Butterfly, which is an Memory Box die called Darla!!   

   The next card is for a Clean and Simple Challenge, my current first choice in card styles, and this challenge is one hosted every week (Sunday) over at The Outlawz Challenges.   For those of you who LOVE challenges, this is a great group and the perfect place to join, as it's totally free and they offer a variety of themed challenges, with a new challenge every week!!    The theme for this week's CAS challenge is Lady Bugs and I knew I had the perfect Digi Image from Bugaboo to use for my card.  This cutie is called Lily Lady Bug and you'll find here!    If you want to shop for other Lady Bug images, Jodie (the creator) has a wonderful collection, which you can see at this LINK! 

  I printed Lily and the "Love Bug" digi sentiment, directly only White Cryogen Cardstock, my absolute favorite for coloring with my Copics.  She was very easy to color and was done in shades of reds/grays and blacks.  One I had the Copic color added, I used my Wink of Stella Markers to add extra sparkle to her eye and wings and then added her to a black mat and a white card base!   A super easy, and cute little card.

  Like little Love Bug card, my next card started with another digi image, also from Bugaboo, which has always been one of my favorite place to shop for fun and whimsical image.   This time it's a sweet little "Baby Bear" which I chose to use for this week's BABY themed Challenge at Addicted to CAS!!

     This cutie little guy reminded me of a baby being delivered by a stork and I thought would be fun and different to use a "animal baby" on my card.   He was also colored with my Copics and I again included a digital sentiment that I added before I printed the image.  To make his balloon have lots of shine and dimension, I added a layer of  3 Crystal Lacquer!  

    And last, but not least is another new card I created today for the current MUSE Card Challenge, which I love.   As soon as I saw Vicki's MUSE card, the Zig Zags she added really popped out at me and I knew I wanted to use that design element in my card.   It really helped that I owned this set of Border Dies by Spellbinders and cutting those was the first thing I did to start my card.  Once I had the cut in colors that I really like (took a couple tries) I decided to add them to my card-base on a slight angle and then I also knew I wanted to make this into a Birthday Card for a teenager, (a boy too), I decided to use "Stars" as my other shapes and cut those with another set of Nestie Dies in the same red/black colors. The final step was adding my Birthday Sentiment, which is a new favorite from Hero Arts called Message with Flourishes CL738.

   This card is also being submitted to the Birthday Themed Challenge currently being hosted over at the Hero Arts Blog.  I am submitting this one as my "Kids" card, as it was created specifically for a teen boy who will be turning 14 next week!!   I think he'll like the style and the bold red, white and black color them!

   And now it's time to go, my pups are NOT happy that I am on here typing a post when they want ALl of my attention.   They love to play for awhile before it's time for bed and they go to bed pretty early, so now is their time!   They were so good all day, kept themselves very content while I crafted, but I did take breaks and took them out, plus gave them a couple of little treats!!!

   Off to play with them now and hope you all have a great night.  I also hope I have another great day of crafting and relaxation tomorrow and with the bone chilling weather, I'm very happy to stay in all day and keep warm and cozy!!

Having fun with Watercolors....

...and today I'm especially excited, because I am playing in a brand new challenge that has been created by an amazing designer, Virginia Lu, who I first met over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group.  You may recognize her from her work, which you can find on her blog --  Yes, Virginia.    Now, you will also find her at her brand new challenge blog - Virginia's View with her first very challenge which went live yesterday!!

     I am sharing a copy a the fabulous Challenge Inspiration image from the blog and invite you all to play along.  The theme for Challenge # 1 is "Watercoloring" -- a technique that is very on trend these days in cardmaking, both in stamping styles and also creating wonderful watercolor backgrounds and images.

   You can also find more details and all the challenge rules on her blog as well as more fabulous inspiration and creations by Virginia!    After seeing all the pretty colors, and recently starting to try my hand at using more watercolor techniques on my cards, I knew I wanted to play along and wanted to try my hand at creating a card using a combination of Watercolor techniques and a Resist technique.

    I started my card by pulling out some of my favorite Watercolor Cardstock, which are this wonderful "card size" sets that are sold by Ranger.   I then pulled out one of my "oldie but goodie" favorite background stamps, Floating Leaf Pattern, by Hero Arts and inked it up with Versamark and stamped that directly tot he Textured side of my cardstock.   Watercolor papers often have both a smooth and textured size and its' your choice and to which side you prefer.  For very details images, I would have used the smooth side, but for this technique and to add texture, I use the textured side.  I then added a layer of Hero's Clear Embossing Powder and quickly embossed on the stamp design.  Now as for my water-coloring, I used Hero's Ink Sprays to create my design and I when with the combination of Pool Mist, Passion Flower Mist and a tiny bit of water from a mist bottle.   I sprayed on large amounts of color and then used a baby wipe to quick soak up some of the excess and continued to do this and alternated the colors until I had the background I wanted.   I then simply mounted that onto some pretty matching lavender polka dotted cardstock and adhered that to a Hero Arts Pool Card base.  I then used some of the same Pool cardstock and cut a large Chrysanthemum using one of the Hero Fancy Dies, which I then cut down and layered across the border I had added.   My card was completed by adding the Happy Birthday Sentiment, from the "It's Your Day Stamp set", also from Hero.   

  In addition to Virginia's Challenge I am also submitted this card to this current "Happy Birthday" - Anything Goes Challenge, being hosted this month over at the Hero Arts Blog!

   I have one more card to share tonight and this one was created for the "Shades of Gray" challenge being hosted this week over at the CASual Friday Blog!  

  

    This card, was super fun and very easy to create, yet it looks like it took a lot of time.  I simply used a bunch of scraps and one of my SSS dies to cute them into pretty curved pieces that I then placed onto a "Wet Cement" Card Base.  I then used the same papers, all from the Country Boutique Paper set by Fancy Pants!  I then used my Memory Box - Seville Bucket Die along with the same papers to create my simple embellishment!  I added a gray chipboard button and tied it on with some deep gray twine and my card was pretty much done.    My card was finished off with this "Thanks" sentiment from Reverse Confetti that was stamped in Wet Cement Shadow Ink to make my card!!  It turned out to be one of my favorite cards this week!!  Hope you like it!!

    Before I sign off, I want to thank all of my very sweet friends who played along in this week's MUSE Card Club Challenge!!  It really meant a lot to me that you were inspired by my MUSE card and took the time to join the challenge.  It was truly a JOY to have been the Guest Designer for the week and I do hope in time, I will find more roles like this, it was fun!

     Oh, and I had mentioned a few weeks ago, that I had also submitted an application to be part of one of my favorite Design Teams.   I was super excited about this and really thought I would have a chance at making the team, which I thought would be perfect, since I know quite a few of the current team members and love the products and stores they design for.  Sadly, I learned on Friday that I was rejected and did not make the team!    Of course, that's not how it was said, but it is what it is and definitely was a disappointment it is and it surely was a disappointment.   Not always a good feeling, but something that happens!  I did have a feeling there would be a lot of applicants, but I still really wanted to be part of that team, unfortunately, I didn't make it!    I'm taking my time and will continue to look for more DT calls and  hope in time to find something that will work out for me!  Special thanks to my friends who supported and encouraged me, it meant a lot!   Maybe next time, I'll have some very Happy and Exciting News!!  Time will tell!!

It's a colorful world...

....and I for one LOVE color....bright, vibrant and happy colors and just in case, you maybe have never noticed, I has a Passion for the color Purple, and love it in each and every shade.  I also love Teal, Pink, Aqua and Golds and also love seeing the all colors of life come back into my world every Spring.  I think another reason I so adore Summer and Spring is because it's such a time of new life....bright blue gorgeous sun-filled days and flowers in every color of the rainbow.  Spring is such a pretty time of year and I love seeing the buds start popping on the trees, the crocus and daffodils starting to bloom and love the sound of the birds signing!   I do HOPE we will have an extra nice Spring, after this horrible winter.  Winter is dark, gloomy and gray and so is much of Fall to me, which is why it's not one of my favorite seasons.  I dread seeing the leaves fall and knowing the cold is soon to arrive...!   I would much rather be winter ending, and let's all hope it does soon, as most of us, have had far too much of Winter this year!!

  Can you believe it's March 1st....where to does the time go!   I was excited to have a lot of time in my craft room today and am now here to share my latest creations.   My first card is one that I had started the other day and it's another card that had been inspired by my Card Club, that I participated in earlier in the week.   It was a card that I thought I would send to one of my dear friends, who lost her hubby, ten years ago today!  It's so hard to believe that ten years have passed, since Julie, lost Larry and to think he was only 44 and died far too young and very suddenly of what we know know was a massive heart attack.  Even so, he has no warning and it really hit is all very hard.  He actually died on Leap Day in 2004, but whenever it's close to the end of February I'm always thinks of him and still can remember that tragic Sunday when died, simply walking outside in his yard!!

   This the card I planned to send to Julie, but did not finish in time.  I send her cards on and off throughout the year and may send this as it gets closer to her birthday or even Larry's, just to show I will forever miss him too and will always love her!!  I've known her all my life and we both grew up on the same street and I still have wonderful memories of a very happy childhood.  Her parents still live in their same home and I always consider them my second family.

  I still have not figured out who created this sentiment, but I really LOVE it and hope that someone will recognize it, so that I can purchase the set.  If all else fails, I'll find out the next time I'm at my LSS, as we used this stamp in the class, and I stamped it a few extra times to bring home!!

  I will be sharing this card over at the Simon Says Stamp - Work it Wednesday Blog!  Since this card also features two of their wonderful die sets.  This Apothecary Labels set and one and this pretty Leanna butterfly die.   I also used some of the patterned paper from this month's Card Kit and that paper is a new set by Lawn Fawn.

    The remaining cards were all created for current challenges and the first is the "Paint" themed challenge being hosted at CASology!!   Thankfully, I have this done as posted in time, but have had this one sitting on my desk for a few days, trying to decide what to create.  In the ended, my card started based on a fun sentiment from the I Heart Arts Stamp Set by Paper Smooches and developed into this really "Purplicious" card!!

   To create this I first stamped on the "Sentiment and then took my Purple Hero Arts Dauber and painted on the purple lines, as you see on the card.  I then used my MFT Heart Dies to cut the two hearts and painted them with a combination of  Dylusions and Perfect Pearls Mists!!   I heat dried them with my Heat Gun and layered them on top of my painted freehand lines.  I then simply added on a few matching sequins and then added it all to a deep purple Shimmer Cardstock base!!   

   My next card was inspired by the new Cas(E) This  and is one that I really had fun with.  I broke out my brand new set, (Tanner) of coordinating  Stamps/Die from Taylored Expressions!   I started with Tanner and his little Dog House and stamped them in Black Memento ink onto Cryogen Cardstock and then colored them up with my Copics.  I then used the matching dies to cut out Tanner and his cute little dog house and stamped my "Sentiment" another piece of Cardstock!!    I added a black background area, which I embossed in my Cuttlebug for some texture and another strip across for little Tanner to sit on.  I then added them all together onto some cute green and white mini checked cardstock and had my sweet little "I Woof You" card completed!    Isn't he so cute, I sure think so and LOVE this set as much as my little Marley Set, also from Taylored Expressions!!

My Card

  I had so much with that new die set that I also decided to use it for my next card, which was created for this newest challenge over at FUSION.   I decided to go primarily with the Sketch, as you'll see, but also added in lots of teal, as it was also one of the colors from the photo inspiration part of the challenge, as you can see in the photo that I copied from Fusion to share with you here:

My Card

   I started this card by picked out some Pool cardstock from Hero Arts and then I free handed drew on the design as shown in the sketch.   It's not exactly the same, but pretty close and I think you get the idea.  I then used another die from the SSS Apothecary Set and cut out his circle shape which I used as the base for my cute little Pup.  I stamped him directly to that circle and colored him with my Copics and a Wink of Stella Market.  I then adhered it that onto a large black circle I cut with a Nestie die and cut 3 strips in black to go across the front the of teal portion of the card.  Once that portion was done, I adhered it all onto a solid white card base and stamped on my Sentiment!!   I think sentiment is equally as adorable!!   

   And that's it for today as I'm really feeling hungry and need to make something easy and quick for dinner.  I think it's going to be a night for a dish of oatmeal and fresh blueberries....a favorite of mine.  Hubby is sick with a horrible cold and all he wanted was a little chicken soup, so he made that on his own, the simple canned type, which I do not like.  I am all for fresh homemade chicken soup, but we did not have all the ingredients on hand and it's an all day project.  But, one of these days, I think I will make a bit pot, as it's something I've been craving for awhile now!!    Yummy!
