That pretty much describe my day! The time has flown by, which makes it seem very short, but it's always been another great day of creating and that's the Sweet part.
Today was my first day taking Kerri Bradford's - Getting to Know your Silhouette Class and so far, I'm loving it and have already learned some great tips and hints and made my very first two cards. I found there was a wealth of information in the very first Lesson, which contains multiple tasks and was the only one I managed to complete today.
My very first card is one that I fell in love with after seeing it over at the Hero Arts's blog, last night. It's a happy and fun card and all my inspiration came the casing the card that Shari Carroll shared with us this week. You can find Sheri's Video here along with her card. I did not have the stamps that Sheri used, so I left my sun plain and created my own clouds also using my Cameo along with two embossing folders. It's such a fun and happy card and I was so excited that I was able to make one of my own.
My second card was created by using some elements form the card design and also from some from a really cute little Flower card that Kerri helped us to create in class. I started by taking this little flower card, and after realizing I had ripped this first one.
I then cut a second little card along with more of the elements from Sheri's design and put it all together to make this large circular flower card!
Both card very much remind me of Spring and give you that Happy kind of feeling. It was so much fun to use my Cameo and to put both ideas together to create these cards. I think the class is perfect and I'm very happy I signed up.
We have saw our final video in the Creative Chemistry 101 class, and it's was a riot. It was a Blooper Video that Tim and Mario and put together for our last day. I was really very funny and put together so well...it definitely had me smiling. It was also great to see all the fantastic cards that Tim created to help inspired us all to take all the tag techniques and use them for our own card projects. There also was a long list of Random Drawing winners and I wanted to say Congratulations to everyone who won a prize. This class has oodles of rave reviews and is still open for all to take. Tim will continue to be answering the forum questions until April 9th and new students can still share their projects and questions in the Galleries, until the 9th. After that time, it becomes a Read Only (Independent Study) type class, without the daily interaction of the teachers and other students. Even so, ALL the videos and class content will remain on the site forever and every student has lifetime access, as we do to ALL the classes that Jennifer and Kristina has offered in the classroom. . I'm thrilled to have been a part of it all and to be be a graduate. I'll share more news soon about the next class, but for now -- it's open only to those who are in the current class or are Newsletter subscribers. I'll be there and it will be another perfection addition to all the other classes I have taken! WOOHOO!!
I'm off now so I can work more with the files that Kerri shared with us in her class today and also so I can review more of the Lesson. It's been a great first day and I very pleased!!

A Little About Me
- ThePurplePlace
- Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
- Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
