Mother's Day Inspiration!!

    Today, I made one of my first Mother's Day Cards, but I have a feeling I'll be making more.  I always like to make my Mom's cards very special, so I try a few before I usually decide which one I like best.  I also created this card with inspiration from some challenges awesome challenges this week.  I love challenges and LOVE trying to make one card work for many!  It's really fun and a wonderful way to practice!   I hope you like the card and maybe you can help me decide if this should be the card that I give to my Mom?

   I started coloring this cute little image from Bildmalarna, and this is 'Little Mimosa' and she is very first Bildmalarna Stamp I bought and still remains my favorite.  I colored her in three different colors, and ended up using my favorite, which is this one, colored in shades of Violet and Lavender!   My next step was to pick out some pretty paper and I choose a brand new collection from 'Memory Box'.  This set is all shades of lavender, teals, pinks and soft lovely spring colors.  It's called 'Enchantment'  and I fell in love with it the minute I saw it.  This set and Kioshi, by Basic Grey are my too current favorites.  How about you, which one do YOU like best? 

   As much as I LOVE the paper, I think my favorite part on this card are the wonderful Cameo Roses, by Prima.  I absolutely LOVE them and own them in several colors, but had run out of Purple...(imagine that).  My solution was to create my own Purple roses, so I simply did that by 'edging' them with a deep purple chalk. I then used a glue pen to add small dots of glue to each, and sprinkled crystal white glitter on top to add a bit of sparkle.  I am very happy with the result and used them on another card I made this weekend.  I'm learning more and more to buy white and them make them into any color I want!!

Woohoo! A GREAT Weekend of Crafting!!

  Morning and Happy Monday!!

  First, I want to THANK all the gals over at SSC (Simply Scrapping Crafts) for a great 'NSD' weekend event.  I had such great time and even though I was not able to be there ALL weekend, it was a blast.  I really LOVED the challenges and I actually WON  the 'One Hour Stamp It' Challenge that was hosted by Rona Mallard, who is one our the newest DT members over at SSC.  You can visit Rona over at her Blog 'A Little Inspiration from Rona'.  And for those of you who love stamping, she and my wonderful friend, Pryn, will be hosting the new 'Stamp-N-Scrap' group challenges at SSC beginning this week, which you can find HERE!

  And this is a picture of my awesome prize.  It is actually an Ippity Stamp Kit that Rona donated from her blog.    If you like it or would like to browse her other Ippity Kits, then please hop on over Here or link directly from her blog!  The set that I won is called 'Fishy Philosophy' and you can find it on this page!  There are actually several adorable sets to pick from!  THANK YOU Rona!  It's very exciting to win and I can't wait to start playing with my new goodies!!  YIPPEE!!

   And lastly, this is the card that I was able to create, photograph and upload to the challenge within the one hour time frame.  These were the requirements for our project, which was a recipe challenge, we needed to incorporate these into our project.

  I also created two more cards yesterday for these really fun challenges!  Amy's (3 Sheets to the Wind) challenge - and this is my card I created for Amy's Challenge --

    And my final card for the day was made for Bev's 'WORDLE' challenge, which was really fun. 

  If you have never tried a 'WORDLE', it's very cool and you can use your 'Wordle' Bubbles for cards scrap layouts and all kinds of FUN things.  I had a blast simply trying different words and colors.  To create your own WORDLE, go to the site WORDLE, and click on CREATE and follow the instructions. 

    This was my card that I created with one of my WORDLES, I made quite a few for fun, but picked this for one, with my favorite colors for my challenge card!!

    And at that point, I was totally WIPED out and never did get back to make any more cards.  There were lots of other challenges that I really wanted to try, but I simply ran out of time.  The good thing is that they gave me inspiration and ideas for new cards and with two Birthday's, Mother's Day and Graduation all coming up for me in the next two weeks.  I have a LOT more cards to get made!!

   I HOPE you all have a wonderful week....today I plan to relax and REST all day!!  It's a rainy, cloudy very humid Monday and I'm exhausted from my VERY busy, fun and crafty weekend!!

A crafty Sunday !! I won another Challenge!! :)

  I am stopping by with a quick post to tell everyone that I have a fabulous time at my class yesterday.  It was a class where we learned a lot of fun and new techniques in order to alter/decorate Painter's Trays and the trays we used were these, made by 7 Gypsy - Click Here. 

   I took my class at my LSS, (Absolutely Everything) and these (shown in the pics below), were the same that Kate, the owner of AE, had done in advance for class.  I thought they may help to give you some inspiration to start one of your own.  I have NOT finished mine, but hope to later this week.

   This was the class along with the class description, and pictures were were provided as our inspiration.  It was an awesome class and not only did we work on our project, it was also a "techniques" and we learned a ton of new stuff.   One I have my tray done, I will post some pictures here.  It's such a fun project and you could do any theme and any style.  Mine will have lots of Purple, of course and will be very girlie girl.  I loved the class and if my 'Fibro body' could have held out, I could have worked all night!!  I also had bought on of these trays awhile back, but had yet to start it, now I will have two and I am very much looking forward to making two.

"'Seven Gypsies Printers Tray' Garden Showcase!  Using many different techniques for the different window openings, we will be doing some metal embossing, some layered florals, Copic marker coloring,  learning a few different flower-making styles, and lots more.   Each person will receive a printers' tray and a supply package with assorted flowers, papers, embellishments, and other goodies. If you would like to incorporate any of your own garden photos, or other special mementos into this, please bring them along."

  Today I am working on finishing up a bunch of challenges over at SSC for their National Scrapbooking Day Celebration Weekend.  If you have not joined, HURRY and you could be the 1,000th Member and you still have time to get in on some of the amazing challenges.  The celebration ends at 8PM, but you have until Midnight tonight(EST) to get your projects done. 

  Here are a couple of the cards I have submitted for some of the fun challenges.  I hope to get a few more done, so I'll be off soon to finish them up.  We have played games and had so much fun!  I thank Judy, Pryn and ALL of the wonderful DT members for putting this ALL together for us.  They did a ton of work in a short time and it's been the BEST NSD event I have every been a part of.  These GIRLS rocked this!!

  Oh...and MORE exciting news!  While I was writing this I just found out that I won another Card Challenge!!  Yippee!  I won the Bildmalarna Challenge for the 'Shape Card' -- Here is a link to the BLOG!!  You can find more information there and also JOIN in for 'The Mother's Day' Challenge!!

    Here is the link that has my "Circle Card" and I have to admit, I was not thrilled with it and almost did not submit it.  As it turns out, y only two gals entered and the other gal did NOT use a 'Bildy' image,  so that pretty much made me the random winner.  PLEASE join me for the 'Mother's Day' Challenge it will be a lot of fun.  If you have not started your 'Bildmalarna' Stamp' collection yet, then HOP right on over to the Bildmalarna Store and start shopping.  There are super cute images and make really adorable cards. 

   That's it for now, I am going back to Simply Scrapping Crafts and working on two more cards, one is a Paper Scraps Card and the other is a 'Race', so I have to go!!!  I  HOPE I can finish them and have them submitted in time.  There are lots of great prizes too!!

 

WooHOO! I won a Prize from PINK GEM Designs!!

....What a wonderful way to start my day and what a lovely day it is here in Massachusetts.  I opened my email this morning to find out that I had WON the monthly random drawing for 250 Reward Points, over at Pink Gem Designs, which many of you know is one of my favorite stores.  I was so happy to hear I won, because I know there are some NEW 'Chloe'  stamps coming out this week and I really love that particular line.  

    This is one of my favorite cards and little Chloe is the star of my card.  This card was actually created for the monthly Challenge at the Pink Gem Designs Challenge Blog - which is called  A gem of a Challenge!   I was also the LUCKY winner of the very first challenge, which was also very exciting for me.  

    I want to THANK Janet, the owner for this fabulous prize and also for her wonderful store.  If you haven't been there lately, HOP on over and browse around.   She has recently added some wonderful Digi Stamps and ProMarker Pens too!  Yippee!!  Janet also has a nice Tutorial on using the ProMarkers which you can find on her fabulous blog, HERE!   I have really enjoyed shopping at the store, meeting Janet, her very talented design team and also taking part in the challenges!   It's been a pleasure to have found this fabulous GEM of a store -- Pink Gem Designs!!
