Tilda with Tulips!

   This card is the second one that I was able to finish up today and I really like how it came out.  I've been trying more and more to use different color combinations in my card-making and for this card, I used a combination of Deep Blue Copic colors.  I used B93, 95 and 97 for Tilda's dress and socks, and also did highlight a bit with B11, more so on her bow. This is "Tilda with Tulips"  and one of my favorite images, especially for Spring.   This card for created for the "Die Cut" Challenge over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers Blog.

 

    I used my Cuttlebug and Spellbinder dies to cut the Scallops Ovals, one for the Tilda image and a second one for the background.  I also colored some "white pearl" bling to match the deep peach tones that I had used for her Tulips. 

    I'm off now to color some more images and then pack up some to take to a little craft event that I am attending tomorrow.  I'm going down the the Linden Tree Inn to meet Anne who is coming up for a scrap retreat weekend.   We met when she first came up in January and now she is back for another weekend event.  Most of the gals are scrapper, but she also like to color and stamp, so it'll be a great way for me to practice.  

   PS: I am LOVING the classes I am taking with Suzanne Dean and have been so happy to have met her and have the opportunity to learn to color in her new Color Me Creative Classroom.  It's wonderful and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn to color with Copics.

 

Happy Friday! A Pink Ribbon Day!!

....Today is another absolutely wonderful day and this nice warm weather has been so good for my Fibro.  I've had a really good week and after last week, it's heavenly!!

    Today, I am hoping to get a few cards I've been working on uploaded for some of  my favorite challenges.  This first card for for the latest Challenge, (Challenge 5) over at "The Bildmalarna Blog" and this one was also perfect for a pretty Spring Card. 

   I really enjoyed this one and think this card may end up being for my Mom who had been having a bad week, but happy is fine and well!  I am very happy to say that my Mom's  Breast Cancer is still happily in remission.  She had another big scare this week when something suspicious showed up on her Mammogram, but thankfully after another ultrasound, more views and a visit to her Oncologist, she's been told that all is fine and she's set for another six months!  PHEW!  A big relief for all!!

   She always enjoys when I send her cards...simply 'out of the blue' -- so I think that I'll send this off has a Happy Spring card!  I'm very happy that this scare...is OVER and hope it will remind us ALL to do our monthly self exams, have yearly mammograms and always see your doctor if you have any concerns or questions.  My Mom is a survivor because her cancer was detected early and that is so important.  And, my BFF Kim, is the same way, her Cancer was detected on her very first Mammogram and now 9 years later, she is fine and well and the Mom to two awesome boys!!  

  I'm proud and happy to always promote Breast Cancer Awareness!

 

Copic Colour Challenge!!

   This is always one of my FAVORITE challenges and probably even more so, now that I am always working with my Copics. This week over at the Copic Colour Challenge Blog we are working on Challenge 56, and the colors for this challenge are these gorgeous colors --

   And those are some of my favorite colors, so this week was really fun for me.  This is my "Easter Card" that I am submitting for the challenge!!

   I'm off now to work on another card and enjoy the rest of this fabulous Spring day...it's gorgeous here the best day of the year so far!   WooHOO!!

A FUN...and busy week!!

....The weather here has been awesome......like Spring with temps up in the 60's, lots of sunshine and it feel goods.  I can see that some of the flowers...are start to bud up through the ground and that's so fun.  I can't wait for everything to start blooming again and see leaves back on the trees!!

    I have had a busy week, but have had a ton of fun too.  I started my wonderful NEW Copic Coloring Classes at Suzanne Dean's new "Color Me Classroom", and I totally love it.  I originally signed up for Level II, and I was so impressed with all the videos, detail and resources, that I also enrolled in Level I, so that I do not miss a thing.   And everything is brand new and totally different than any of her other tutorials.   These classes are amazing and I'm both thrilled and honored to be learning from one of my FAVORITE Designers.  And even though these are NOT my first Copic Classes, I have already learned some awesome new tips and hints and have already uploaded a few projects for Suzanne's review!

    And on a HAPPY and exciting note, I actually WON another awesome prize.   It was the door prize in the "Live Chat" that Suzanne hosted during Grand Opening of her Classrooms on Monday.  I won a $30 Gift certificate to Magnolia-Licious, a store I already love and shop at.  My thanks to Suzanne for the prize and also to Diana, "the owner of Magnolia-Licious"  for giving me the prize!  Yippee!  If you have never shopped at this store, then hop on over now.  It's wonderful and a great place for all your Magnolia Images and Supplies.

   On top of that class and practice, I am working on some cards for challenges, but have not had a lot of time this week for that.  These cards below were cards that I created for challenges at "Simply Scrapping Crafts", my favorite on-line Challenge Group.

   And this last card I created for the "A Year in Cards" monthly class/challenge over at Two Peas!   This month's class was all different ways to use "Backgrounds" stamps to make cards.  It was fun and I always enjoy taking that monthly class. The homework for class was to create a card using a "Background Stamp" and this what what I came up with!  It actually turned out to be a pretty card...(much better in person) and I think it's one I create again, simply by changing colors!   FUN FUN!!

   Now I am off to practice coloring and also to work on my homework assignment for my Design Studio class.   Sadly, that class has covered all the things I already had figured out on my own, so that's been a disappointment.  I wish now that I had not taken it and I almost didn't!   I guess the good thing is that is does having me use my Design Studio more, but I am still bummed that it's not what I had hoped.  My second Cricut class that has pretty much been a total bust!  :(

Sunshine!!! Yippee!!

   Sunshine is a wonderful thing and I am very very happy that the SUN is shining brightly and that the storm has finally moved one. Now, I HOPE it will start to dry up and feel terrible for all the people who have been affected so badly by all the flooding...it's simply awful. We have two sump pumps going in the basement, but we still have some flooding, about 2" of water, but hopefully once the ground water level goes back down, it'll be fine. Luckily, we know to put things up and have sadly been through this before...! The warm sunshine that we are expecting for the next several days will do us ALL a world of good!! :)

....On an even happier note,  I started my newest "Copic Coloring Class" yesterday at Suzanne Dean's New -- Color Me Classroom and it's fantastic. There is so much information in each of these class levels and everything for me is new and full of great details and videos. Woohoo!  

    I also had another very LUCKY DAY yesterday and won a "Door Prize" in her first LIVE CHAT in the Main Classroom. I was the lucky winner for a $25 Gift Certificate to Magnolia-Licious, one of my favorite stores and also one of my favorite blogs.  I had completed their blog hop earlier in that morning, so it was a wonderful surprise to win a gift certificate to the store on the very same day!  YIPPEE!!!

  Today, I am already practicing coloring and have printed out a ton of resource files from my Level II Class. I can tell already that this is gong to be so wonderful for me and I even went back this morning and enrolled in the Level 1 class too. I just do NOT want to miss anything and I LOVE my Copics and because I have invested so much in them, it's so worth taking all these fabulous classes. It's also exciting for me, since Suzanne has always been one of my favorite designers and I LOVE her work!

  I'm off now to work on some more coloring and also to starting thinking about what I want to create and send off to my "Secret Sister" from the Simply Scrapping Crafts Challenge group. I think this too, is going to be a lot of fun and this is the first time I've ever been involved in a "Secret Sister" Group.   I'm excited to get started and want to thank Christy again for this wonderful idea!!
