A wondeful day of surprises!

Monday...Yuk! or so it started for me!

I woke up this morning, not feeling so well...just that basic tired and achy feeling that is part of living daily with Fibro.....

I did my chores and was reading posts online and suddenly the mail man was at my door with a big package! Well what a WONDERFUL SURPRISE, my friend Sharon (an online Fibro Friend from PA), had sent me a Making Memories Ribbon Holder and Embellishment Shelf...just totally out of the blue as a token gift of friendship. I could not believe it. It's something I have always wanted and I had just bought one of the MM Embellishment Boxes on sale last week. As you may know I'm in the process of totally re-doing my upstairs combo den/scrap room into a NEW room that will be ALL for crafting. I'm going to get a new desk and workspace table and my plan is to have all white (or mostly white) bookcases and shelves an this was perfect. I've had the MM Embellishment on my WISH List for months along with this unit.

This is a picture my package and my new unit...after I opened it up --

I LOVE it and can't wait to get it hung up! I'm going to wait until I have my new furniture so that I know how my room will work out, but this is wonderful and a pleasant surprise.

And not only did it get this, but about a hour later, when my regular mail arrived, I found a gorgeous card that Sharon had made for me to go with the gift. It was a Happy Everything card and it was gorgeous. I have not take pics yet, but will share when I do.

What a day...then as I continued to open up mail (bills...blah)..then then came across another wonderful handmade card from another online friend (Rose), is is one of the Beauty MISfits and she also sent me a sweet RAK of gorgeous purple flowers to use for me card making. They are really very pretty and a set I do NOT have.

My day, went from feeling kind of YUK and lousy, to feeling like a very loved and lucky girl and that made me feel great!

My special thanks to both Sharon and Rose for their wonderful acts of kindness. Totally out of the blue and totally unexpected! You BOTH are awesome friends and I'm blessed to have you both in my life!

Thanks girls..!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
