Fun Fabulous Friday!!

Yippee!   It's Friday and my favorite day!  For some reason Fridays always seem to be nice days for me and today is starting out to be another great Friday!
I was very excited to get to work on a new card for a great challenge I found like night over at The Cuttlebug Spot.   As soon as I saw it and some of the wonderful cards the DT created, I knew I wanted to try it.  It's really quite a simple idea and I was totally inspired once it saw how fun it looked and I knew I have everything I needed.  And if you have a Cuttlebug, and some of those little 2" X2"  Embossing/Die Folders, than you too can make a card for this challenge.  I now have so many FUN ideas and I'm so happy with how much fun this turned out to be.
I started by cutting a bunch of 2X2" squares from extra pieces of scrap cardstock.    I then took out a stack of my little 2" folders/dies and began emobssing and cutting various images and shapes.  I think I ended up cutting/embossing about 50 little squares, which I'm going to use.  Once I had all my little squares, I simply needed to come up with a design for me card.  I played around with a few ideas and in the end, I decided to make my card with a variety of fun summer colors and chose a plain white square card as my base and here is my card!

A very simple, clean and fun design and I Love it!  I think this card is one of my new all time favorites!  So fun and easy!  The possibilities are truly endless and I am looking forward to making some more.  I know it's something I never would have thought up on my own, but I loved it as soon as I saw the inspiration!  WOOHOO!    Many thanks Nilda, the creator of The Cuttlebug Spot  and her fabulous DT  for the wonderful cards they created for the challenge!   I also LOVE my Cuttlebug and can't wait to take part in more of these fun challenges.  Yippee!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
