Sunny Saturday!!

It's another bright and sunny  Saturday here in Massachusetts.  Looks like it will be the last of the low humidity days as the heat is rolling in again and sounds like we are in for a heatwave!   YUK!!
It's been so nice to sleep with the windows open and to not have to run the AC non-stop, but I think that will soon end, so I took advantage of the drier weather to catch up on chores this morning.  My house kind of suffers in the Summer, as I just do NOT want to spend a lot of time cleaning when it's really hot, but today I did pick up a bit and it looks nice and neat again.  I love it when my house is very neat and clean - it makes me feel better!
Now, I am relaxing in my craft room and just finished up my first card for today.  This card is my 'Happy Birthday USA' card and I had a lot of fun putting it together this morning.  I found this adorable digi stamp at Bugaboo Stamps.  If you love this cute little turtle, you can find him HERE!  And if you but him now, you can also advantage of the 50% off sale!!

This card was inspired by these fun challenges:

I am off to work on some more cards and enjoying a nice peaceful quiet day!  I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend an a very Happy and Safe 4th of July!!

Oh Lisa I'm so glad to see you here! Your turtle card is absolutely adorable & I just love Bug A Boo stamps too!

We are supposed to experience a cooling trend over the weekend here and the high temps will dip to below 110 degrees for a few days. I miss the windows being open and the cool breeze too.

Lisa,
Don't you just love those Copics. They color so nice. Your turtle is looking like I am feeling. I can hear fireworks off in the distance but I am home snug as a bug.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
