A not so Fabulous Friday!

Hi All,

   I am taking a day off and giving in to my Fibro but ONLY for one day!  I am going to my best to rest today and keep my FEET up as much as possible, so that I will feel better.
   This Fibro flare is NOT improving and I know I've been doing to much, but I am stubborn and really not a very good patient.  I do NOT like simply lying around and resting all day..its' boring and I have so many other FUN things I would rather do. But, I will try for one day to be very good and hopefully it really help me feel a whole lot better.

   Hugs to all and have a wonderful day!!

Happy Thursday!!

  Today is kind of cloudy here and since I'm still not able to do much, I guess it will be another day of crafts.  My silly feet are still swelling like crazy and the meds are not doing much to help it.  The only thing that helps is keeping them UP...(but I don't want to be lying in bed all day)...and I can't figure out a good way to put my feet up and craft?  ANY Suggestions ??
   So for now, I am crafting and taking breaks in between and put my feet up every so often!  Grrr!  I am not a good patient and while I have adjusted to living with Fibromyalgia, I really do NOT like when it takes OVER!!  I know I should be resting more, but I hate letting the Fibro WIN!!  I get too bored laying around and do NOT like doing nothing!

   The good news is that I finished two cards this morning and they are both for challenges over at SSC.  The first is for the Copic Color Group and this week's challenge is coloring Denim (Blue).  Lisa did an awesome Video and you can find it HERE!  I hope you'll stop by and join in on this awesome class.  Just look under the "Copic Coloring Group" and you find all the challenges too.  We have a new class and challenge every Wednesday and Lisa Futch is our wonderful instructor!

   This is my card that I submitted to the challenge --
It's a Magnolia Tilda and one of my favorites!

This is 'My Edward' a wonderful digi image
that I had to buy - He's from Pixie Dust Studio!
And perfect for practicing coloring denim!
A 'hottie' too!  LOL!
  My next card, is for the Color Combo Challenge over at Simply Scrapping Crafts and I loved this one, because the colors are wonderful.  The colors for this week are :  Black, White, Pink and Gray and they all look great together!1

  This is my color combo card !

  And this cute little one is another wonderful digi image, and she is  from Pure Innocence!  I thought she would be perfect for the challenge and is so sweet!  And that will be it for now!  Time to put pup my feet for a little bit and rest!!

   Happy Crafting!!

One more card for today!!

...WooHoo! I finished my third card today and this one is for the newest 'Card Corner' Challenge over at SSC.  This week's challenge is to use a sketch as inspiration for your card.  This is the sketch that Maureen provided for us -- Pretty isn't it!

   And this is my card that I created based on the Sketch and using lots of my favorite products!

    It was a very fun and easy card.  I started by making my card base from a Lavender piece of Bazzill Swiss Dot Card-stock, which I Chomped with my MM Corner Punches. Next I used (4) scraps of my new favs -- 'Kioshi' from Basic Grey, which I cut in various widths and edged using two different border punches.  The design with the little heart shapes is from EK Success and the Scallop Border is from Fiskars.  My LOVE Sentiment is actually a font called "Adornment", that I have used several times for different project.  I bought it from Lettering Delights and LOVE it!    I added a strip of lavender ribbon for some different texture and then added Prima flowers with lavender pearl centers and a hint of Glitter!  This card can pretty much be used for any occasion and the 'Love' Sentiment can be removed, if needed.  I may actually use it for a birthday card, and if I do, I will create a new Sentiment.

   And that will be it for today, as I am one tired girl.  I had a wonderful creative day, but I'm beat.  I hope tomorrow goes this well, as I have a few more project I want to work one.  One will be my Copic "Coloring Jeans' Challenge at SSC and the second is a Sketch project for the 'Through the Craftroom Door', the fabulous new craft magazine by Marti Willis and Suzanne Dean.   If you haven't seen it yet, you can subscribe to it HERE!!  And the best best is that once you subscribe, you will also have access to a wonderful online website that is exclusive to subscribers.  It's FULL of fun crafty ideas, inspiration, tutorials and challenges.  Hope to see you there, it's another great group and I really enjoy being a member!

    Hugs and Happy Crafting,

Two new challenge cards....

   Today is an absolutely gorgeous day, the weather is beautiful and I am started to feel better too!   Yippee!   I hope to spend my day crafting and having fun and I started this morning by creating two new challenge cards.
   My first card is for this week's Color Challenge over the the Copic Colour Challenge - and the colors for this week are - BG11 Moon White, BG02 New Blue and R20 Blush.  ALL colors I own and all colors I really LOVE.
   I started my card by coloring this adorable Tilda Image and then found some papers to match.  This is "Ladybug Tilda", but instead of traditional ladybug colors I used the colors for the challenge along with other blues and violets.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  My second card is for a brand new challenge group over at SSC Challenge site, and this group is the " Stamp & Scrap' group and the challenge for this week is all about layers.  You can use any type of paper or cutout for your layers, but they all must be mounted in brown or black.  I started my card with an adorable digi stamp from Meljen Designs, which I colored to match my background papers.   I layered everything on Pop-dots and embossed my card base, for more dimension.  I really enjoyed this challenge will be looking forward to seeing what the other gals come up with!!  Good Luck Girls!!
  This my submission, which I made as a 'Thank You' card.  I am also submitting it to Melissa, the owner and designer of this adorable image.  I you have never been to 'Meljen Designs', hop on over to the STORE HERE!  And after you have shopped, be sure to stop over at the BLOG, where you can enter for your chance to win some wonderful images and also find an adorable 'Freebie', which is another adorable bear - He is HERE!
  I'm off now to work on my next card, which is for this week's Card Challenge at SSC and this is a sketch challenge.  If you want to join in - then HOP on over to Simply Scrapping Crafts and go to the Card Group, which you can find HERE!!  Hope to see you there!!
A Little About Me
My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
