Another FUN Monday....

And another Monday I am here to invite you to join me in two brand new challenges!   The first is this week's brand new challenge over at the StampFairy Challenge Blog and this week your challenge is to create a project where you use a Lace & Hearts -- perfect for those Valentine's Day!!   And for another chance to WIN we have a little TWIST and our twist is to not use any Red or Pink on your card!  Do you need some inspiration??  - if so, then hop on over to the Challenge Blog and take a peek at the ideas the Design Team created!

This is my card and I, of course, chose a Purple (Plum) shade as my main color and went with a Plum and gray them for my card.

My sweet Valentine card is also being submitted to these fun challenges, which are open to ALL!
I colored Lenny with Copics and then added a layer of 3D Crystal Lacquer to the Heart to give it extra sparkle and shine. I also colored my lace trim, to match the gray by using my Copic ABS.   I  embossed the dark plum cardstock with a heart shaped Cuttlebug embossing folder and then cut two layers of scalloped circles for my background and an extra pop of color!  I think this card will be for Hubby for Valentine's day and think the darker colors make it more masculine!

I invite you all to join in and want to remind you that you can find ALL the chalelnge details on our blog HEREPlease note:  Starting this week all entries MUST include a StampFairy image to be eligible for any of the prizes.  You can find a wonderful selection in the store at the link below!

This is my card and it's was created with a few challenges in mind, as noted below.  This theme is one if really love and my sweet Angel image is from 'A Day for Daisies'.

A Super Sunday....

...and for me the SUPER part has nothing to do with Football...the super part for me is having a great day of crafting and coming here to share some new cards I created today.

My first two cards were both inspired by this week's Sketch over at the Stars and Stamps blog.  This is always one of my favorite challenges and I totally LOVE the sketches.  They are always great, yet not complex and totally fun to follow.  Here is a copy of this week' sketch, so you can see what how it used it for my cards.

Sketch # 55

And this is my first card, where I flipped the sketch and used a cute little digi from Bugaboo Stamps. This image was part of the exclusive January Collection!

This fun card will end up being for my son for Valentine's Day and is also being submitted to these challenges -
My next card was also inspired by the OWH sketch, but I changed it up a bit and created my image in a circular shape.  This card was created with a a cute little digi from Baby Bud Designs and is another fun Valentine card.

My sweet little 'Fairy Bud' card is being submitted to these challenges --  I hope you'll join me and have fun creating!
My next card was created for a new Clean and Simple Challenge over at 'The Outlawz' and our challenge this week is create a 'CAS' Card using these colors - Pink, Brown & White.

This card is also being submitted to these challenges:
I had a lot of fun with that card and totally enjoy this new weekly challenge.  I started by picking up some pink, white and brown papers and first made my flower with my Tim Holtz Die.  then simply used the same papers for my background and embossed the pink layer for texture.  I used my ribbon to separate the two papers and them added my flower with a pink corduroy brad.  It's been very helpful at teaching me how to create CAS cards!   If you LOVE challenges like I do, then you will definitely want to join this fun new group and be sure to join in for a very BIG EVENT starting on Monday, February 13th!  It's going to be a lot of fun and you'll have a chance to win one of several fabulous prizes.  For me details - please head over to 'The Outlawz' and join the fun.

I also created two more fun cards, but you will have to wait until tomorrow to see them both as they are both design team projects for brand new challenges which both will be starting tomororw morning.    Please be sure to come in the morning for the fun details.  In the meantime, you still have time to enter either of the current challenges at StampFairy, or the Birthday Card challenge over at 'The Outlawz'.

Lastly, I want to wish everyone a great weekend and to those of you of LOVE Football, I hope it's a great game.  My team, (The Patriots), are sadly not in the Super Bowl this year.   But, since I always like to pick one team to route for, I'm going with the Pittsburgh Steelers and hope they win.

    Bleck.....

....As soon as the alarm when off this morning I just had a feeling it was not going to be one of my best days.  My back was aching more than normal, I was cold and just felt BLECK!   I quickly hit the snooze button and went right back to sleep.  It was on of those days, I feel like I could have slept for hours, but I knew I had chores to do and just did not want to waste my day sleeping.    I finally got up after my third snooze and headed downstairs for some coffee and to start the daily chores.  I had some coffed and watched a bit of news only to be ready to scream when they said, we have more now coming on Saturday.....are you kidding me?   Enough already!!

I headed upstairs to get dressed and make the beds and it was just about that time, I said...what the heck...why get dressed today...I'm not feeling great, I'm not going out and I am nice an comfy in my Jammies, so why not just stay in Jammies, and that's exactly what I did.   I took my med/vitamins, brushed my teeth, put in my contacts and brushed my hair.   I didn't  even both using my curling or flat iron, which is very odd for me, but I was too tired.  I didn't even put on anything but some moisturizer and lip gloss.  I was thinking, gosh I hope no one pops over to visit today, as I am not myself and would hate to have to any company.

I have to say, this is was weird feeling, but it worked out for me.  I was just sooo tired and had zero energy.  By the time my laundry was done, I had checked my emails, answered a fews, picked up the house a bit, made the bed and was done with my basic morning chores.   It was only 11:30, but I just feel BLECK....so what did I do...well I went back to bed and instantly feel asleep and slept straight through unitl 2:30 this afternoon.     I then realized I had gone to sleep with my contacts in...and my eyes felt yukky.  I got up, took a very nice long hot shower and felt like it was then a better day.  Pretty much a wasted day, but at least I did not feel so worn out.  I did get dressed this time but only into a comfy lounging outfit and headed to my craft room to create.

I only manged to make one card today, but I do have some images printed to work on tomorrow.  My one card was for the new Sketch Challenge over at 'The OutLawz" and this is the sketch that Sandi designed for the challenge  --

And this is my card which was inspired by the sketch!   As soon as I saw it I knew I have some Basic Grey 'Sugar Rush' paper that looked very much like the plain, and it worked out perfectly.  My image is one of my very first digi images and I bought it last year from Pink Cat Studio.  It's an oldie, but goodie.

Although I did like how well my card worked out to match the sketch-- I'm not loving my coloring today, especially her hair, LOL!  As it said...it's not my day....today is a BLECK kind of day and now that it's after 6pm, I'm almost ready to back to sleep again!

I sure hope I feel a lot better tomorrow, as I have lots of fun things coming up.  Please be sure to come back tomorrow for the new StampFairy release, it's a cute, cute set and I think you'll love it.

        Nighty night....

    Another SNOWY Day....!!

...and at this point I have totally lost count of how many snow storms we've had this winter....but one think I know for certain -- it's been far TOO many for me.   Today, is part two of this week's storms and that is on top of getting about a foot of snow yesterday!   Yikes!!!

On a happier note I am here to share a few of the cards that I've made during all this indoor time and my first card is for today's Midweek Throwdown challenge at the 'Stars & Stamps Blog', which you can find HERE!!  As many of you know I donate cards to Operation Write Home and totally enjoy being part of this special group.  I was honored when Jan asked me to create an inspiration card for today's challenge, although I have to admit, it turned out to be a challenge for me!!

The theme this week is 'On the Farm' and the adorable little farm animal images were created with were provided by Jodie of Bugaboo Stamps, one of the fun digi stores I enjoy!  You could be the lucky winner of (7) Bugaboo images, if you play along.  If you love these little farm animals, you can find them HERE, in the Bugaboo Store.

This is my card (actually my third card), as I did not really like my first two...LOL!  It just was one of those weeks that I was struggling, but in the end and thanks to my Cricut and Paper Piecing, I came up with this cute Farm-themed card.  I hope it will make you smile!!

And this is one of my other attempts and the card that I will be entering into the challenge.  I'll be curious to know which you like best???

I hope you'll all hop on over to the blog and share enter this fun challenge!  I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

I also have a few more cards that I've created this week and my next one is a fun little Valentine card that I created for the color challenge this week over at Color Me Creative - Suzanne Dean's Copic Coloring Challenge Group - HERE!  This group is open to all and one of the member's - Marlena is actually sponsoring this week's challenge!   WOOHOO and thank you Marlena for your kindness.

And my next card was created for this week's Color Challenge over at 'The Outlawz'!  The colors for this week are Celadon, Lavender and White and were inspired by this image, which I have copied over to share with you all --

This is my card using the colors provided above -- which I absolutly LOVE!!

You can find the Color Challenge HERE and we offer a new challenge every day of the week, for today's new Sketch Challenge - please go HERE!  I hope to work on a card later for this one!!

I am off now to work on my sketch card and to also work on a card for a brand new challenge at Party Time Tuesday, which was opened yesterday by Jenn, a co-designer that I create with on the Baby Bud Design Team.  I was very excited to learn that Jenn was going to re-open the site and invite you all over for some fun!!     The brand new challenge for this week to create a project that incorporates both a Cupcake and a Valentine Theme and I am very excited to be playing along!!  I have my image all picked out and hope to finish up my card later today!  My best wishes to JENN for much success with this new venture!!

Update - I am back this afternoon to share my Party Time Tuesday Challenge card which is not finished and ready to share.   When I first found the challenge, last night I had this image (from Michelle Perkett), in mind and it worked out perfectly for the  theme.  I colored the cupcakes and hearts with Copics and then added a layer of lavender glitter on the hearts.  I layered the image on an embossed die cut and finished my card with three tiny Prima roses and a pink/white checked bow.  It's a bright cherry card and perfect for this snowy day!     I can see now that a few other gals had the same image in mind, I hope you'll like my card too!

I have one more little note today and that is sending out HAPPY BIRTHDAY wishes to my friend Anary!  I hope you have a wonderful day -- full of Fun, Love and Happiness!!

    A Little About Me

    My photo
    Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
