Yippee!! It's Friday and I am actually feeling better today, so that's awesome. It's also a gorgeous day here with bright blue skies, lots of sunshine and very dry comfortable temperatures. It feels great to have all the windows open and let the fresh air in. I'm very happy to have a break from the humid weather, even if only for a day or two. It's wonderful to feel better and I can't wait to work on some cards.
First, I want to share some cards that I have made earlier this week, but had not posted. I also have been making matching envelopes for my cards and love the look. I first saw them over at my friend Brenda's blog HERE, and loved how she had lined her envelopes with matching papers. After I talked to her, I found out that she bought the envelope liner "template" from PaperTrey Ink and I knew I had to order one. Mine arrived last week and I just LOVE it. All you need is the Template, your Cuttlebug and some matching papers and you can easily line your envelopes to match any of your A2 size cards. It ROCKS!! Here are some of the first card sets I created using my new template.
Just adding the matching liner, really makes the cards seem like a perfect set and I think this is something I will use over and over. I have make my own liners with other templates, but this is so much easier and makes the perfect cut every time.
Here are more of the cards I have been working on and these will all be going into my next box that will ship off to "Operation Write Home".
I'm off now to work on a card for a new challenge and this challenge is at a new group which I joined a few weeks ago. If you LOVE digital stamps and images, as much as I do, then this is the group for you. It's called - Crafter's Digital Art Center and you can find it HERE. It's a new Digital Arts Group -- Offering Information, Sharing, Challenges & Freebies from Different Digi Artists -- I wrote a little about it when I first joined and want to again thank my friend Colleen, for inviting me over. The groups is perfect for me and it has grown so much in a few short weeks. As of now, there are already 48 Digital Creators/Stores that have joined and every member can join any of their groups, which is fabulous. I have learned some fun new things already and really enjoyed meeting some of the artists. They have been very generous and all have shared some fabulous freebies with the members.
This next card, was created with one of my favorite freebies and this lovely floral image was donated by Isabells'a Sketchbook. This is such a pretty image and can be colored in a variety of ways to match any designer paper. I loved it as soon as I saw it.
Since I joined the group I'll bet I have added at least 30-40 new digi images to my collection and all for free, which is wonderful. Since digis are my latest craze, this is perfect for me. I was very excited to find that there are new challenges starting this week and since I love challenges I'm looking forward to joining in. The first one I am joining is being sponsored by Michelle Perkett, and her designs are wonderful. If you want to see some, please go Here to visit her Etsy store. She has provided a really cute new digi for the group and her first challenge is a 'Birthday' inspired challenge. I am off now to work on my card!
Wishing everyone a great day and a wonderful weekend! Happy Crafting.

A Little About Me
- ThePurplePlace
- Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
- Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
