A creative day!!

  Today is going to be a fun and creative day for me and I'm off to work on some new cards very soon.  I wanted to first come by and show a few of my newest cards and also invite you to join me in some fun new challenges over at 'The Outlawz'.

  As you may have heard, there is a brand new Craft Community that was recently created over on Ning and its' a fun new 'Challenge Group' that was started by a group of Crafty Girlz, who all love to create and take part in craft challenges.   The group is called 'The Outlawz' and officially launched last Monday.  We celebrated our first Anniversary this Monday and everyone has worked very hard to put together a very fun and friendly group!

   I'm here today to invite you to come on over and join us and play along with all the challenges.  I have two new cards to share that I created for two challenges that started this week.

   My first card was created yesterday and it's for the Color Challenge and there the them for this week's challenge is Brown and Pink, a really pretty color combo.   This is a copy of the inspiration image from the challenge -

   And this is my card, which was submitted to the challenge yesterday.  It's a cute little digi, (from Bugaboo Stamps), and it was a really fun card to create.  I colored some of my image with Copics and then used some new digital papers (from Shery K. Designs) to Paper Piece on the pink for my little monkey girl.  I also printed out two more digi papers to create the circular frame and my polka dot background!  The more I start working with Digi images and papers the more I am finding I love using them together and I'm now finding I love adding new Digi Papers to my collection.  I've been very impressed with the prices and fabulous collection that I've found at Shery K Designs!   Have fun if you visit the sotre, there are so many wonderful options and the prices are awesome!

   My second card today is for the new Sketch Challenge and this started this morning and can be found HERE at 'The Outlawz' site.    This is the wonderful sketch that Sandi designed for this week's challenge, which I have copied over to share and inspire you.

    This is my card - based on Sandi's Sketch and this one was also created with a cute little Snow-Boarder and he is also from Bugaboo Stamps!

      And speaking of Bugaboo, they are celebrating their 1st Birthday this week with a fantastic sale - 60% off ALL images!   Yes, you read it right - all images are on sale through January 22nd, for 60% off - please go HERE to shop!!

 WooHoo!    I just LOVE sales and have already been over to the store to add some new digis to my collection!

    I'm off now to work on a fun card for a brand new release coming out on Friday at StampFairy and you are going to LOVE it!  I feel in love with the new images, as soon as I saw them.  Please be sure to come back here Friday and I'll have a fun new card along with a peek of all the wonderful images in the new release.  Yippee!!

It's Monday already??

     Did you have a great weekend?  Mine was pretty good,  except for seeing the Patriot's lose their Playoff game last night!  That sure was a disappointment and not at all the outcome I had expected!   Oh well, I guess this was not meant to be our year!   Bummer!!  On the upside, I spent a lot of time in my craft room and worked on a lot of projects, which was very fun for me.  I'm happy to be here sharing some of my latest cards this morning.

     I have some fun news today along with two brand new challenges to invite you to join.  The first is our new challenge over at the StampFairy Challenge Blog and this week, we would like you to create a project using Paper Piecing.   A very popular technique now being used often in rubber and digital stamping!   If you are a new crafter or have have never tried Paper Piecing, I am including this link to a fun little Tutorial Video over at YouTube!   The design team has also done a fantastic job with the project, so be sure to hop on over to the challenge blog and check out all their awesome creations.    You'll also find out who won last week's challenge, along with all the details for today's challenge!

     This is the card that I created for this challenge using some really vibrant fun colors.  I wanted to make it fun card for a child and I picked this cute little Critter.  I started by coloring him with my Copics and then picked out a black and white striped digi paper which I used that to Paper piece onto my image!

   You can find my little Critter image over at the StampFairy Store.  He is one from the 'Under the Bed' collection and makes a super fun card for kids of any age!

   Note:  Two Peas in a Bucket still has several FREE digital paper kits that you can pick up over in their store.  I have also found a fabulous site called Shery K. Designs, where I have bought most of my newer digi paper, including the black and white I used on my card today!  She has a fabulous variety of  digital paper sets at great prices.  I've shopped here a few times now and have been very pleased with all my papers!    I am finding I love this technique and use it more and more!

   I am now very excited to invite you to another challenge and this is a Birthday Card challenge being hosted over at 'The Outlawz'.   I'm also very happy to announce that I have decided to join the Design Team also known as 'The Outlawz Girlz', and will be part of the weekly Birthday Card Challenge Group, along with Colleen and Sharon.   Tomorrow begins our second week and we start off the week with a brand new 'Birthday Card" challenge and I invite all my friends to come on over and join the fun.

Monday - Birthday Challenge
   Our challenge this week is to create a Birthday Card using the colors - Green, Pink and Brown and the 'Girlz' have put together some wonderful examples which you will find over in the group.   This is my card and it's a sweet fun card that I created with this adorable little image from Baby Bud Designs.  This is little Kira and you can find her in the Baby Bud Etsy store HERE!

  I hope I have inspired you to join me in both of the wonderful challenges and also want to remind you that we also have a fun challenge this month over at Baby Bud Designs.  Our theme is 'Friends' and this card would be also work out perfect for our challenge!

   All of these challenges are open to all and if you are very creative you may be able to create a project that will work for all three or join in any of the other challenges we now offer over at 'The Outlawz' group!   This is a list of our challenges by day - something for everyone!

Another super Saturday....

  I've had a great day and for me that means that I feel pretty good, my Fibro if not flaring and I have had a lot of free time to craft today !  Woohoo!!

   I'm here now to share a new card and this card was inspired by a few different challenges.  It started when I was realized that today was the start of a new challenge that Baby Bud Designs was sponsoring over at, the Oh Alice challenge blog.   I went over to visit the site and was inspired by the Design Team to create my own card for the challenge.   I picked out one of my favorite little 'Buds' - Ashton and began coloring him with my Copics in a cute little red outfit.  But, when he was done I could not seem to come up with a good design for my card and went online to look for some new ideas?
    After browsing a few sites, I still couldn't find what I was looking for and decided to put him aside for the day.  I then headed over to 'The Outlawz' to see what the Girlz were up to and that's when I found the perfect sketch, in today's brand new Scrapbooking Challenge!   I has stopped in earlier to admire the projects the DT had put together and it hit me that the sketch for the new challenge, was exactly what I wanted for me card.  My thanks to Jane for a great sketch and for inspiring me to use her sketch as my card design too!  Yipppee!!

    This is her sketch, which I have copied over to share,  (Courtesy of 'The Outlawz'), and with my thanks to Jane for the wonderful idea.
Jane's Sketch

   My Card

  I simply scaled every thing down to card size and instead of a photo, I used my sweet little Bud Ashton!   I'm excited now to think of all the ways I may be able to use other sketches for card projects, even those that were originally created for scrap pages!   Yippee!!

   I am submitting little Ashton to all these fun challenges and I welcome everyone to join me!!
   I'm off now to color up some more images and want to remind you all that I'll be back tomorrow to share a new 'Clean and Simple' challenge from 'The Outlawz' and will also be back on Monday with a brand new Challenge from StampFairy too!  I  have had a blast working on the cards for all these challenges and can hardly wait to share them.  Tomorrow, is also sketch day over at the Stars & Stamps Blog and I always look forward to that challenge too!

Happy Crafting!!!

Happy Friday!!

  Did you have a good week?  I did, despite a blizzard and lots of very cold winter weather - my week went well.  The best part of winter is that it keeps me inside most of the time which means I have lots to time to spend in my craft room and I love that.

    Today, I have a fun new card to share and it's part of a brand new release from StampFairy.  This release is Donny Honey Bear and he's a cute as ever.  I'm a big fan of the bears and seem to want them all!  They are a lot of fun and always make me smile.    You'll find he has already been added to the store along with Lenny Bee Bear, and Lenny Lady Bug who are also new to the Teddie collection!!    This is a mega-set and the largest collection to be released -- Totally adorable!!  --

   Afternoon Update - I am back with another new card and this also features one of the newest images from StampFairy.  This card was created for a brand new Copic Coloring Challenge being hosted over at 'The Outlawz' a brand new fun and friendly craft community which launched earlier this week.   I'm very honored to be one of the founding members of the group and invite you ALL go join us.  Our group is open to all and is a fun place to meet fellow crafters, take part in a variety of challenages and also share your creations with us.  We are brand new and officially opened on Monday and already have over 100 new members.  We will continue to grow and also will continue to add to our challenges, videos and tutorials.  Currently, we offer a new challenge each day in a different theme, and each challenge runs for a full week.   The group has put together an amazing Design Team and is very friendly and welcoming!!

A fun new Challenge!!

  Happy Thursday!!!  I'm so happy to see the sun shining brightly and now watching all the snow start to melt away.  The blizzard was not too bad for us here directly on the coast, but some of the area very close by had almost 2 feet of snow!  I'm quite happy that we had less and very thankful that we did not lose our power.

    Today, I am very excited to invite you all to join a NEW Challenge being hosted by StampFairy over at CDAC.  We are currently hosting the Other Theme Challenge which starts today and runs through January 26th.  The project for this challenge is Bookmarks and StampFairy  has donated an adorable Freebie image for you to use on your project.

    I created a fun corner bookmark and I based mine on a wonderful tutorial  I found over at SCS, by Beate Johns.  I've referred to this tutorial several times and find it's one of the best, and is easy to follow.   You can also watch the video at YouTube here!   I really like this style and it's was run to try a new one for the challenge!

   This is another view of my bookmark, so you can see how it would appear in use.  It simply slips over the edge of  your page.  I've made these a few times and find they are fun and easy.  You can basically make them in any design and adjust the size to your choice.

   I hope I have inspired you to join this fun challenge and welcome everyone to play along!!!   Please be sure to hop on over to the site and take a peek at all the wonderful bookmarks the other Design Team members have created!   They are awesome!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
   I also have one more project to share this afternoon and it's a new little Thank You card that I created based on this week's color combo Copic Coloring Challenge over at the  iCopic Lover 's Challenge Blog.   You can find all the details for Challenge # 12 - at the blog HERE
    My little Thank You card is also being submitted to this week's 'Thank You ' Challenge over at Crafty Sentiments Designs.
     I'm off now to head over to 'The Outlawz' to check out today's challenge which is their 'Prisma and Other Color Medium' challenge.  You can find it HERE over at the group!  I welcome everyone to join in and play along.  The Outlawz offers a new challenge on each day of the week and each challenge runs for a full week.  The group is Free and is Open to all!   Come on over and have some fun!!
    Have a super day and as always -- Happy Crafting!!!
A Little About Me
My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
