It's Monday already??

Did you have a great weekend?  Mine was pretty good,  except for seeing the Patriot's lose their Playoff game last night!  That sure was a disappointment and not at all the outcome I had expected!   Oh well, I guess this was not meant to be our year!   Bummer!!  On the upside, I spent a lot of time in my craft room and worked on a lot of projects, which was very fun for me.  I'm happy to be here sharing some of my latest cards this morning.

I have some fun news today along with two brand new challenges to invite you to join.  The first is our new challenge over at the StampFairy Challenge Blog and this week, we would like you to create a project using Paper Piecing.   A very popular technique now being used often in rubber and digital stamping!   If you are a new crafter or have have never tried Paper Piecing, I am including this link to a fun little Tutorial Video over at YouTube!   The design team has also done a fantastic job with the project, so be sure to hop on over to the challenge blog and check out all their awesome creations.    You'll also find out who won last week's challenge, along with all the details for today's challenge!

This is the card that I created for this challenge using some really vibrant fun colors.  I wanted to make it fun card for a child and I picked this cute little Critter.  I started by coloring him with my Copics and then picked out a black and white striped digi paper which I used that to Paper piece onto my image!

You can find my little Critter image over at the StampFairy Store.  He is one from the 'Under the Bed' collection and makes a super fun card for kids of any age!

Note:  Two Peas in a Bucket still has several FREE digital paper kits that you can pick up over in their store.  I have also found a fabulous site called Shery K. Designs, where I have bought most of my newer digi paper, including the black and white I used on my card today!  She has a fabulous variety of  digital paper sets at great prices.  I've shopped here a few times now and have been very pleased with all my papers!    I am finding I love this technique and use it more and more!

I am now very excited to invite you to another challenge and this is a Birthday Card challenge being hosted over at 'The Outlawz'.   I'm also very happy to announce that I have decided to join the Design Team also known as 'The Outlawz Girlz', and will be part of the weekly Birthday Card Challenge Group, along with Colleen and Sharon.   Tomorrow begins our second week and we start off the week with a brand new 'Birthday Card" challenge and I invite all my friends to come on over and join the fun.

Monday - Birthday Challenge
Our challenge this week is to create a Birthday Card using the colors - Green, Pink and Brown and the 'Girlz' have put together some wonderful examples which you will find over in the group.   This is my card and it's a sweet fun card that I created with this adorable little image from Baby Bud Designs.  This is little Kira and you can find her in the Baby Bud Etsy store HERE!

I hope I have inspired you to join me in both of the wonderful challenges and also want to remind you that we also have a fun challenge this month over at Baby Bud Designs.  Our theme is 'Friends' and this card would be also work out perfect for our challenge!

All of these challenges are open to all and if you are very creative you may be able to create a project that will work for all three or join in any of the other challenges we now offer over at 'The Outlawz' group!   This is a list of our challenges by day - something for everyone!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
