Yippee! I won some blog candy!!!

Happy Sunday!   What a nice day it is turning out to be.  We had some snow overnight, only a few inches, and thankfully it all happened well after midnight and was over before we woke up this morning!!   When I looked out the windows this morning I saw the lovely look of a brand new fresh snowfall and bright sunny skies.  I love it when the snow is fresh, untouched and sparkling in the sun -- that's the one time I enjoy it!  Luckily, it should not last too long with the bright sunny skies and everything is quickly melting away!

I also had a nice surprise today after getting an email from my friend, Dana, telling me I had won the Blog Candy I have featured on over my side bar!  WOOHOO!    Here is a picture of my awesome prize and it's from Scrap It Girl, who is a new blog I follow from meeting her at Feline Playful.

My thanks to Kimberly  of (Scrap it Girl), for this wonderful prize.  I have always wanted to try one of these Martha Stewart Circle Cutters and now I'll have my own, along with some gorgeous new trims!  WOOHOO!  I want to also encourage you all to hop on over and check out her wonderful blog!   While  you are there before sure to take a peek at her Craft Room - It's amazing and I absolutely loved it the first time I saw the pictures!  It would be like a dream for me to have a room of that size, with all the wonderful storage cabinets and goodies she has!  Enjoy!!

Thanks again Kimberly !  It's was a joy to find your blog and I'm so happy I did!!

My next plan today is to work on some new cards and I plan to start first with a challenge from the  Stars and Stamps Blog and will be working on a card for the new Sketch Challenge, which you can find HERE!!   This is a copy of the sketch and everyone is invited to play along!

  Update:
I finished up my card for today's Sketch Challenge and I am no back to share it with you!  It's based on the sketch above and I created it with one of the cute Teddies from StampFairy.

I really enjoyed the sketch and found it easy to follow!   I hope now I have inspired you to join me and make a fun card!

I also want to remind everyone that TODAY is the last day to take part in the StampFairy Blog Hop and if you are playing, please be sure to have your card uploaded by 6pm this evening.  You can find all the details HERE!!   Don't forget if you are playing to be sure to comment on my blog post HERE and be sure to tell me what YOUR favorite color is, for a chance to win my RAK!!  My winner will be announced on Tuesday!!

And one more thing before I head off to color ---- I want to invite you all to the Grand Opening of  'The Outlawz' - a brand new craft community opening tomorrow over on the  Ning Network.   Colleen has put together a fabulous new site and I think you will all enjoy it.  If you are a crafter who is looking to join a brand new Design Team,  please go to Colleen's  Blog  - A Card's Delight for me details about the Design Team Call!

This teddy is adorable. He reminds me of a piggy bank my friend made for my daughter.

Great coloring work on this adorable bear. The glossy accents are a great touch. I never seem to figure out just where to use that stuff!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
