I have two cards to share today and both were created for challenges. The first was one I worked on yesterday and after three attempts at a 'Resist' Card, this one not only ended up being the best, but it's also my favorite colors and that's what I like most about it. I used the brand new deep plum Distress ink from the Fall limited edition set. This one is called Seedless Preserves and was the reason I had to buy this set. Purple, in ANY shade is my absolute favorite color and this is by far the best Purple shad that Ranger has put into a Distress Ink. The only downside is that it's a one time only and there will not be any re-inkers for this color!!
This card was inspired by a new challenge we had this week at Crafting by Designs and it focused of using the Resist Ink Technique to create a card. My first two attempts I had tried with different colors and also had used different stamps and plain white card stock. But, this time, I remembered that Glossy Card stock works best for resist and I was so much happier with the results.
This card is being submitted to each of these challenges:
- Crafting by Designs - Technique Challenge - Ink Resist
- Sunday CAS Challenge - CAS Style - Anything Goes
- Corrosive Challenge Blog - Purple Passion
My second card was created today and was inspired by a variety of challenges. It's a cute little Halloween Card and it was based on the new Sketch over at The Outlawz, along with the Color Combo Challenge that Bugaboo is hosting at CDAC and PCP!
This is a copy of the the Sketch from The Outlawz!
And this is the Color Combo from Bugaboo's
After flipping around the sketch and using the colors from Bugaboo, I put together this fun new Christmas Card. My Digi is also from Bugaboo and is one of my favorite little Rudolph images.
And that's it for today !! I'm hoping to rest more again and battle this darn headache. All I want it for it to be gone before I have to go to the Dentist (dread) tomorrow to have a filling replaced. Gosh the very idea just makes me feel worse! I'm one who just does not like dental appointments and thought I'd be fine with only a cleaning, but no....not this time - I have to have this filling fixed before it totally falls out!! UGH!! I'll be so happy when I walk OUT of the office tomorrow and it's all over and done. Wish me luck!

Beautiful card! I'm going to have to make a card with the emboss resist technique. I've not done that technique in a while. Thanks for reminding me and for joining the Clean & Simple Sunday Challenge!
Sorry to hear about your headache and the upcoming dentist visit. I'll be thinking happy thoughts for you.
Feel better. I would rather get run over by a mack truck than go to the dentist. You DO create great things even when under the weather.
Both of your cards are so adorable! Love the resist technique! Hope you feel much better and sunny weather is headed your way!!
