Windy, Wet and Wild.....

....that's the day we are having today and we are only in the early stages of the rain and wind.   It sounds like we could get a few inches of rain and there is possible flooding in the low lying areas.  On the upside it's a fast moving storm and I sure hope it ends before midnight.  Brian and Meghan will be flying home from Boulder tonight and will be landing about 11:30 PM -- I HOPE very much they are not delayed and that the weather cooperates so they get in.   I miss them and can't wait for them to be back home - safe and sound.

    I'm kind of lazy today and almost had one of the Pajama days, but I ended up feeling cold, so I gave up on that idea very quickly and put on some snuggy warm clothes.  I actually dug out my little portable heater today and have had it on in my craft room.   Bummer!!   It's the first time that I've used it this year and to think last week we were in the 80's and I was still using AC.   I guess this may end up being the weekend that hubby takes out all the AC units and packs them away 'till next year!!  

    My happy news today is that I was one of the LUCKY winners of last week's Wacky Wednesday Challenge at Bugaboo!!  Yippee!!   I am very excited about that and have already added the winner badge to my Challenge Wins/Awards page.  

    My first card today was created for the brand new Wacky Wednesday Challenge and you can find it at CDAC and also over at PCP.  The challenge this week is a Photo Inspiration Challenge and the photo, (shown below) immediately made me think of Fall Fun.

   And this is the card that I created and will be submitting to this weeks' Wacky Wednesday Challenge!!

   My image is from Bugaboo (of course) and is one of the adorable Turtles.  I think I own every one and love that Jodie has created one of almost every season.  This cuties is the Thanksgiving Turtle, but I think he's also perfect for Fall.  If you would like to add him to your collection, please go HERE!!

   As has been the case a lot lately, ALL of my cards today feature images from Bugaboo.  I just LOVE them so much and find them so much fun to color.   I love the whimsical style and love that they are bold line images, which for me, make them perfect for me to color.  I don't have the best eyes anymore and despite wearing contacts I find it much too difficult to color deeply detailed images.  These are so good for me and I think that's why I'm drawn to them so much!   I also happen to love that fact that they are all  FUN and HAPPY images -- they make me SMILE!!

    My next card was created for today's new Sketch Challenge over at The Outlawz and again, my image is from Bugaboo and was colored with Copics.

    My Card

  This card was also so fun to color and she (Ava), is one of the new Christmas images from Bugaboo that I recently added to my collection.   She was also colored with Copics and then I used a tiny bit of Ice Stickles to create the look of her standing on snow.  I also broke out another new Memory Box die to create the holly that runs down the left side of the card.  I added red gems to create the look of Holly Berries and then added 3 little "Candi" embellishments to finish it off!   Candi is a a new style of bling that I found recently at my LSS.    

  My next card was created for the Midweek Throwdown Challenge being hosted today over at the Stars and Stamps Blog for Operation Write Home.   The theme today is to create Thank You cards!  You can find all the details and join along HERE!!

   This card was also colored based on the Color Combo Challenge being hosted over at The Outlawz.   Bugaboo also happens to be the sponsor this week, so I thought it would be fun to use a Bugaboo images on my card!!
