I joined a Silhouette Group on Yahoo too, as I'm sure I'll need lots of help in getting used to this and using it to it's full capability. It's a very sleek machine and the first cut went well. I did buy some new images already from the Silhouette store with my $10 freebie card and will likely buy a subscription for more files. I also want to learn (in time), how to create my own files and/or convert other images files so that I can cut them in my machine.
Today, I'm going to be playing more with my new toy and did want to share a couple before I get started.
My New Cameo
My Cameo with My Pink Expression
I also worked on two more Christmas cards yesterday and have those to share now too! The first one, was one that I had made in Stamp Camp and finished up at home yesterday. It's also very similar to one that Jennifer McGuire had on her blog a while back. I love it and think I'll be making several of these for this year.
And this second card was inspired by a new video on the Hero Arts Blog yesterday and is a case of the card the was created by Julie Ebersole. I totally LOVED her card and this is my version of it. You can see Julie's on her blog HERE too!
Oh and before I forget, if anyone is interested in signing up to take the Holiday Card Boot Camp with Jennifer McGuire and Kristina Werner -- now is the time. The classroom is now open, the suggested supply list has been added and they are several students chatting together in the forum and sharing some of their cards in the Gallery. The workshop starts on November 7th!! Hope to see you all there-- It's going to be AWESOME!!

If you don't see me around or taking part in many challenges for the next couple of days, you'll know it's because I'm enjoying my new Cameo. I'll also be spending most of my time in Holiday Card Boot Camp once it starts! In the meantime, if you need me, feel free to email me or call! I'll be having a wonderful time creating in my craftroom!

Congratulations Lisa honey on your new craft toy. I am sure you're going to have LOTS of fun! Love the peek of your craftroom... looks so organised. I like organised! hehe Your Christmas cards are beautiful. I particularly love that first one. Hope you're well and sorry I haven't been around in a while. Tons of hugs, Sharon xx
Have fun with your new toy!! Wonderful creations!
Hi Lisa, congrats on your new toy :) I have a KNK Maxx and LOVE him to bits lol May I suggest you go and take a look at Make The Cut. It's a brilliant, very cheap, software program designed to use with lots of cutters, and has a very easy user interface...I'm loving it. There's also a great forum on their site, which is free to join. Everyone there is so helpful and I've noticed quite a few have Silhouettes. There are lots of tutorials around for MTC....one of the best places to start is Scrappy Dew. Another great site to visit with lots of freebies for cut files is Penny Duncan Creations blogspot. Penny has a whole range of nested shapes called Shaplies, and a way to emboss them so you never need to buy expensive dies again!! Have lots of fun enjoying your new toy...hope this helps :)
Woooo... check out all the beautiful Sihouette Cameo and it looks even better with the pink Cricut!!! Congrats and enjoy my friend!!!
