Happy Thursday!!

Another cloudy day here, but a good day for running errands and getting things done, which is what I did earlier this morning.    I am back now and Alex is home already from Graduation practice too and he is now happily playing with his new  iPod Touch which was delivered this morning.  It's really very cool and can do soooo much more than my original Pink Mini iPod!   Almost makes me want one of my own, but then again...I'm not sure I would ever use it as much as he will.   I do like the WiFi feature and the apps you can buy are really endless...quite a neat gadget - I am very happy he likes it and hope he gets a lot of use of it!! :)

I'm really tired today and just not feeling that great, so I haven't done much of anything.  I did make one new card for this weeks' new Challenge over at Meljen's Designs, which you can find on the challenge blog HERE!  This week's challenge is dry embossing and that is something I like to do on lots of my cards, so I created this card today.  The imagine is 'Garden Bird House', which has already become one of my favorites.  You can find it HERE at the store, if you would like to add it to your digi collection!   And this is my 'Embossed Card' for Challenge 10 -

I also used that exact same Meljen image for another card I made yesterday for a challenge over at SSC and it was this week's Card Corner challenge and this was the sketch, we needed to use to create our card -
And this is the card I created using the
sketch as my inspiration.
I also created two other cards yesterday for the Wacky Wednesday challenge over at SSC.  This week's challenge was to use a Shadow effect on our card and for that challenge I used my Cricut.  The first card I made was this little Frog card using my new Create a Critter Cartridge!

And I also created a second card, (using the shadow feature) and this one was created using my Pagoda Cartridge along with some circle punches!   I was glad to figure out this feature and really want to start using my Cricut more and more to help come up with new ideas for my cards!.

And I think that's going to be it for the day!  I'm feeling really exhausted and just wiped out!  And since I want to be feeling really good tomorrow for Graduation, I plan to spend the rest of the day resting and relaxing.  Heck, I think I might go take a little nap!

I hope you are all having a great day and as always -- Happy Crafting!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
