Happy Tuesday.....
And what a gorgeous day here...just like Summer, I LOVE IT! The only downside is that we haven't even thought really about putting in our AC Units, so after a nice cool night, this morning I shut all the winters and as of now (1 PM), the house is staying nice and cool.

I just came home from being back at Dr. Patel's have a Keratosis removed and another cyst. It went well, and I am GLAD it is OVER. I also stopped at the Hallmark store to get a little trinket gift to send to Doxi for her birthday and then I went to Bath and Body to use up a coupon and stock up on Anti-bacterial soaps while they are on sale. I bought air-port "freshener" in the clearance for my car and also a New Lemon/Lime Shower Creamy Body wash, which smelled like heaven, that was NEW and I could NOT resist the scent.

Now I am going to rest, as I can feel my arm and face are already started the get very sore, so I know the lidocaine is wearing off.

I am happily caught up on my Project 365 and these are the last two pages I did! The first was for Alex's Birthday and in celebration of him getting a his new Jeep and the second we pictures of Spring like things...kind of just bright and happy things.

Happy Wednesday!

I can't believe that another week is already half over...every week seems to go by faster and faster and with Spring weather and summer coming I would be VERY happy if everything slowed down for a while, so we can ENJOY IT!

This week is Spring break for Alex, plus it's the week I seem to have a lot of appointments. Today, was my nail appointment and I left there and went directly to the Hair Salon to have my color done. I had Coco add in a little more Red/Auburn to my roots color and she also did a SHINE treatment/rinse color on the rest the my hair, which was new for me. Both the color and the shine ended out coming out very nice and I was happy with the end results. Not so happy with the costs...but happy with my hair. I also had my bangs trimmed and then came home and dried it myself to save $20. I just can NOT stand paying $20 extra to have my hair blown dry..that's too much for me.

Tomorrow, Alex and I will be off to Beverly for his Annual Physical and then we may hit the Mall or do lunch..nothing exciting, but I'm sure we'll find something to do. We also may stop to the T-Mobile store and have them check his phone. It seems to be acting up lately, so it may need to be replaced, but luckily we have insurance, and hopefully it's something simple. Why it is that cell-phones never want to last more than a year or two?

So that's about it. I'm making the guys Spaghetti and Sauce for Dinner and will make something easy for me. I'm thrilled that today I reached my Weight Loss goal and FINALLY have not lost a total of 30 pounds. I feel so much better and although it was harder because of not exercising (due to Fibro), I still did it...so if I can...so can anyone else!!

I'm off....looking forward to what we hear will be a beautiful summer like weekend with temps up in the 70's...YippEE!!

Alex is 17!!

Today is a very special day! It's Alex's 17th Birthday and a special day in my Life. I can still remember being at the hospital that morning and walking up and down the hallway hoping to speed along the delivery, then the next thing I knew my second son was born at 12:28 PM. He weighed in at 7 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20" long. He had blond hair and blue eyes and was a handsome boy from the very first day! The births of both my boys were truly the happiest days of my life and I will forever CHERISH those moments!!

Alex was born on a damp and cold Thursday morning back in 1992 and back in 1992, it was "Holy Thursday"! We came home from the hospital on Saturday morning, the day before Easter. His very first outing was to Easter Bunch at Nana's house the very next day!

This is his official "hospital" picture that was taken on the morning of April 18th. He was two days old!

Happy Birthday ALEX!!

I LOVE YOU always and forever!!

Hugs and Kisses,

Alex has his new Jeep and it's Nice!!

Alex's Grand Cherokee Laredo
Very Nice!!

After spending half the day yesterday running to our car insurance agent, then to the dealer to pay and next the RMV, we later found out that they dealer had not finished getting the JEEP ready for us and so after all our waiting, we had to come home without it.

What a Bummer and I was not a happy camper, especially after they called in the morning and told us that it WOULD be ready. We even left and went off to the Burlington Mall for two hours to kill time in the hopes that they would have it all set. But, they didn't and Alex was not any more thrilled than I was to come all the way back home without it.

The only good thing about the whole trip, was going to Macy's and finding they had the NEW Bobbi Brown Platinum Shimmer Brick that I had wanted to buy. I did get that and we also browsed a bunch of stores there and we went to the Food Pavilion for lunch too. Alex had two slices of Pizza and I got a simply salad and water.

Then today, I spend until almost 1PM anxiously awaiting the call to say the Jeep was ready, at last. Packey came home form work early and the three of us headed to up to get it about 2:30. Luckily, it was all ready. We simply had to attach the new plates and we were off. I drove half-way home, just to be sure there didn't' seem to be any problems and because that part of 95 is so BUSY and hectic and knowing HOW much I hate it, I didn't' feel comfy with Alex driving, but once we got to our Mall, he drove the rest of the way and ALL was find.

Now, I pray he takes excellent care of it and has no problems. It's very nice and he's worked hard to get it. Tomorrow, ironically is his Birthday, so what a wonderful gift he know has. I can sleep in again too...at last and that makes life so much better for me!

I'm still behind on my Project 365 and my cards in general from being away, but I hope to catch up soon. I'm working on a 2 page Layout form the Beauty Bash trip and I am almost done. Once I finish that I'll be up to date and then need to get right to work on this week's page!!

So...that's the BIG and exciting news for today and it's sure a good day and NICE to have Alex back in his own vehicle again!! Yippee!!

Happy Friday!!!

Yikes....Where does the time go! It's been a quick week and I haven't felt so great since we came back from the Beauty Bash. I had a wonderful trip, loved the BASH and really LOVED meeting the Girls the best, but boy oh boy has my Fibro been flaring.

I thought for sure, I would plan to go again next year, but I can see now that it may not be a good plan for me. I'm hurting much more than I have for a LONG time. I do have a doctor's appointment on Monday and I'm going to talk with him about adding to my meds, at least until I can break this pain cycle. I do hope it won't last, but right now - it's bad.

I told DH and the boys, that we will be skipping "Easter" this year as I do NOT have the time or energy to plan and make a big dinner at this point. I will have DH look for a small ham for us and maybe we'll have that for Dinner on Sunday night, but if not, that's okay too. I did stop at the store yesterday to pick some "treats" and I did make them all an "Easter" bag full of treats. I mailed a card to my Mom and to Brian, but that was it for this year.

Now I need to focus on Alex's Birthday (next week) and getting my Project 365 up-to-date. I'm going to do 2-3 pages from the Beauty Bash to cover 2-3 weeks, as I have lots of pictures.

Here are some of my favorites --

Home Sweet Home!

I had a wonderful trip to the Beauty Bash, but I was very, very happy to get home last night to see my family and sleep in my own bed.

The trip was a lot of fun and we received an amazing amount of wonderful beauty and skincare products. I loved having the chance to meet some of the Beauty MISfit girls and also some of my favorite product vendors.

But, WOW and I ever hurting now? A total 9 of 10 on the pain scale and a full Fibro Flare. Every joint and muscle in my body is aching. I knew it was be hard, but didn't think I would be this sore and fatigued. I'm one hurting girl, but it WAS still worth it.

Once I feel better and back to normal I'll post some pictures from the trip....! I had a blast and really do HOPE very much to be able to go again sometime!! It was worth the pain!!

Happy APRIL!!

April 1st...and no jokes from me!!

Another month has flown by and I'm happy that MARCH is over, as it's still a cold and raw month. I'm so much looking forward to SPRING and some warm sunny weather!!

Today, I went and had my nails done and also had a spa pedicure, which is fabulous. I come home and finished up a little more packing for my trip and I think, I am ALL READY!

I can't wait to go now and tomorrow will be the last day to prepare, as we leave bright and early Friday morning. I'm such a home body and so used to having ALL my things right here with me, so it's always a challenge for me to pack for a trip. This is how my bags are looking right now ~

Two almost FULL suit cases, and two carry on items, a tote and my regular carry on and I'm only going away for 3 nights (4 days). Actually, I'm bringing each of the gals I'm meeting a small gift, so one suit case if pretty much all that and it'll be perfect to use for coming home with anything we buy and all the goodies we'll receive.

I'm off to the Beauty Bash at QVC in PA, with my friend Patty. It's an annual event and we are going for the very first time on one of their weekend packages. We'll be staying at a local hotel and I'll be meeting up with several of the gals from the my Beauty MISfits group. On Saturday we attend the actual BASH, where there will be 30-40 beauty and skincare vendors, each with a booth that we will be able to see their products, ask questions and test out things. All of the vendors are know to be very generous and we will come home with a whole tote bag full of goodies. We've planned and saved for almost and year and it'll be so much fun. We also will be meeting 10 of the girls for dinner on Friday night. Our package also includes a QVC Studio tour which we'll take on Sunday. In the meantime, we'll do some outlet shopping and just have a whole lot of FUN!

We fly back home Monday afternoon and I'll be sure to take lots of pictures and update my blog sometime next week.

Bye bye....see you next week!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
