...more fun with watercolors!!!

...this is actually my second post of the day!!    My first post was one that was done in advance as a surprise for Elizabeth, who is the wonderful kind owner and creator of the a2z Scrapbooking Store.   You can see all the cards her Design Team created, over on the Design Team blog, or by going to the post right before this one!!

    I'm excited to have even more new card to share and all three of these were created today for some new challenges, as well as some more "Homework" for the awesome "Watercolor Class" which I'm very sad to say ends on Friday!!   The good news is that I have forever access to all the files, videos and PDF's, but it will not longer be an "active" class after Friday.

Best Class EVER!!!

     This is the first card I worked on and this one was totally inspired by a card and video that was done by Jennifer Rzasa.  If you are already in the class, you'll know exactly which day this was and I know that many of you have also re-created your own version of her fabulous "Watercolor Tree", which she taught us how to do step by step.   Again, watching her and see ever step is a HUGE plus and although she's clearly a watercolor artist, I can see why so many of the students are so in love with the class and everything we learned!!  My favorite and I can not say that enough.  Of course, this is my first attempt ever at this style of "freehand" water-coloring, nonetheless --- I was very happy with my first attempt.  I did have an "OOPS" at the very end, and spilled some paint on part of my piece, which is why I had to cut out my tree.  I know we all have these moment, where you are all done and something happens to ruin your card.  I was bummed, as it looks even better when you see the extra specks of color, but I was happy I could cut it out (as best I could) and make the save.  I simply then mounted it onto some white heavyweight cardstock, added a little frame "created with scraps" and this wonderful "Hello" Sentiment from Winnie & Walter.  This set is super popular and had sold out all over, but the good new is that you can still buy it directly from W&W on their website HERE!

    NOTE:   Winnie & Walter are also coming out with a brand new release on May 25th, and I have a feeling that we will all be wanting the next set in this style, which I believe will be "The Big, The Bold and Fun", which I saw on their blog!  For your sneak peaks head on over to the Winner and Walter Blog !!

  Moving on my next card was created and inspired by this week's new MUSE Challenge, where you'll find that Marion Vagg has again created a wonderful MUSE card as the inspiration for all.  I am happy to share a picture of her card below and hope it will entice you to come on over and play!!

My Card

I am very happy to have been awarded an "Honorable Mention" for my MUSE Card!

Thank you to everyone who voted!  There were so many awesome cards!!

   Do you recognize my Sentiment, I'll be you do and if so, then you know it's also from the same "Winnie & Walter set, that I used on my tree card, which you'll find HERE!!   I also used some of my new watercolor skills and cut my Butterfly from a piece of watercolor paper that I has colored in a pretty pink/purple color wash and then stenciled over with white dots (not showing in this photo very well).   I cute the "zig zag" borders with an older Spellbinder Border set and quickly had this really cute card!  

  That brings me to my last card today, also created for a challenge, this one being the newest over at "CASology" where our Cue Card for this week is "Flower".   

   And this is my very simple new Flower inspired card that I created with a variety of dies and pretty polka dotted papers, from some of my favorite companies.

   I started this one, with a plain "Black" pre-folded Notecard, which is from Hero Arts. I just LOVE these cards and use them quite often as my card bases.  Even when I may not have the pre-cut and folded style, I will often use Hero's Layering Papers to create my own and you'll find a nice of variety of both styles over at a2z Scrapbooking.  Please remember I have a special promo code for all my followers, you can find it on a few of my recent post, including THIS one.    One of the things I love most about the Hero Hues Cards is that they are colored on the outside, and white on the inside, meaning I do not have to add a white liner!  

  The sweet little Flower was created with one of the fabulous "Exclusive" die set, designed by Simon Says Stamp, along with two new products from Avery Elle.  The first  being their "Oh Happy Day"  Stamp set, I also really LOVE this font and than I combined that with the very cool new die set "Custom Panels", that I used to cute the fun "Pink Polka Dotted" top layer on my card.  There are so many pieces to this set and it will allow you to create so many unique styles and shapes for your cards or card fronts.   

  This card is being submitted to the current challenge over at "Die Cut Diva's", where the challenge is to use at least one "Embellishment" along with a Die Cut, of course!  For my card I have used a variety of new dies and also added some Bling to my little flower!    Thanks to Arlene for reminding me about the challenge!  

   And speaking of Avery Elle, we are now starting to carry some of their goodies over at the a2z Scrapbooking Supply Store.  We have a nice variety of their custom inks already in-stock, along with this cute die set that I have in my own stash.   Plus, don't forget that "Elizabeth" loves Custom Orders and if there is a particular product you are looking for, simply let her know and she'll be happy to try and find it for you!   She'll also continue to add new things to the store each day and will always carry Hero's Products!
