Jett's Birthday Card!!

....This card is a birthday card for one of my best friend's son, Jett, who is very near and dear to me.   I can hardly believe that he is going to be 10 years old this year.  It doesn't seem possible, and seems like only yesterday that he was born and that was back on March 11, 2000!    I can still remember how excited I was when Kim called me that Saturday morning to tell me she was in labor and already at the hospital.   It was such a wonderful day and who doesn't LOVE a new Baby!  I can still remember being one of the first people to hold him and how much joy he brought to Kim and Tom, as their first child.    He's such a sweetie and he actually loves to make cards too.  I have given him up lots of card kits and craft supplies and one time he spend an entire day here with me making making cards ALL day.  It was fun and he is a great kid, just like his little brother True.
The fun part about his card this year is that I decided to make it as one of my Challenge cards for the week, so I searched throught my list of "Challenge" sites, trying to use it in as many challenges as I could.  I think he will be VERY happy to know that it has been submitted to a few different card challenges.  I'll be sure to show him this post once his birthday comes.
This is Jett's Birthday Card for 2010 - I am very much looking forward to giving it to him.

And this card is being submitted to each of these Challenge Blogs --
This card was created starting with some Designer Paper from "Denami Design" in a Green Polka dot pattern, I then added extra layers and embossed each layer in a different pattern. The adorable little Dino Image along with the Happy Birthday Sentiment are digi stamps from Pink Cat Studios.  I colored my little image with my Copic Sketch Markers, and finished up by adding a hint of Glitter to his blue eyes to make them sparkle.
I hope Jett enjoys this card and the gift I'll be giving him at his little party!  I also HOPE that he'll continue to enjoy his own card-making and always be very artistic!  Happy Birthday Jett, I LOVE YOU!!

Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
