Four more days....

...and it will be here...CHRISTMAS!   Woohoo!   I'm getting more excited each day and very much looking forward to Christmas morning and simply having my family together.

Yesterday, was my day of chocolate making and it ended up turning out pretty well.  I had found this awesome little 'Chocolate Melting Pot' on sale at AC Moore on Black Friday and I bought it, thinking it might really help...and it sure did.  Last year I had major issues with burning and or not melting the chocolate well and it ended up being a mess!   This year, it was a breeze with the pot and the best part is that it was such a deal at $16.  I think the original price was $59.99, which is much to high, for for $16, it was worth every penny.

Here is a picture one of the platters I finished up.  I made little Christmas shaped chocolates, lollipops, chocolate covered cashews and also dipped some chocolate wafers and pretzels.  I had a combination of white, dark and milk chocolate...!  Yummy!  The hard part is staying away from it and not over indulging in chocolate!!

Today, is a lazy day for me and I'm not doing much.  We had our first snow last night and it was still snowing this morning when I first woke up, but luckily it had ended and we only ended up with about 4".  It was pretty nasty last night and there were several accidents, as the worst part of the storm was a rush hour.  Sometimes I think people forget how to drive in the snow, as it seems they are always a lot more accidents in the early winter and then people remember to slow down and take it easy.  I don't mind driving in the snow, but the ice...that's horrible and black ice is the worst.  Luckily, I don't have to go anywhere, so I can avoid it as much as possible.

I am very happy to be home and today is kind of an in between day.  I don't have anything I have to do and wanted to spend more time crafting, but I'm not feeling very motivated.  I'm just down today and feeling kind of out of it.  I did color some new images that will be used for Design Team projects and I realized I am still missing one of my Copics?  I've looked everywhere and it's simply gone and has been for about two days now?  The bummer is that it's one of my favorite reds and one that I use often!  I figured it was time to order a new one and to do it today, so hopefully, it will be here by Friday.  I buy all my Copics from iCopic and they ship super fast, so I'm very likely to have my order on Friday, which is wonderful.   Of course, I can't go and buy just one marker...no way...I had to add some other goodies to my order too.  I'm still working on buying all my refills and added some new colors today, along with some more  Xpress It coloring cardstock, which I really like.  While I was there I was reminded of their coloring chalelnge and decided to hop over to the Challenge Blog.  It's their final challenge of 2010 and I really wanted to play so, I decided to make a card to work out for this challenge and a few more!  It's a very fun and easy little 'Just Because' Card and I started by color this sweet little Digi (Angel Brad) from StampFairy.

Card Recipe
Cardstock - Orange by American Crafts
White Cardstock - XPress-It
Great Impressions - Sparkling Ice Glitter
Digi Image by StampFairy
Tim Holtz Distress Ink - In Honey

My card is also being submitted to these fun challenges and I invite everyone to stop by and play along:
And that's going to be it for now!  I think now that I have one project done, I'll going to keep coloring and HOPE I can find my missing Copic!

Those chocolates sure do look yummy! Don't envy you fighting the temptation to over-indulge. I'm trying to eat fewer sweets - the doctor is getting after me about my blood sugar going too high.
Lis, is the Express paper different than the Cryogen? Need to hear more about it if it is.
Have more stuff on my blog. Won't finish posting til after Christmas.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
