Rainy Day Fun....

...If it's going to rain and you need to be inside, then you may as well take advantage and be creative.  That's exactly what I have done today and it's been fun.  I'm still a bit sore, so my typing is very limited, but I do want to share some of my new creations and submit them to some new challenges too.

This is my first card which was is a cute little Baby card that was created for a few new challenges.  It features a cute little digi image from StampFairy, which was colored with my Copics.

This card is being submitted to each of these challenges and ALL are open for everyone go play along.

My next card is another card I created using one of my favorite images from 'Wax Fruit Company'.  This one is named Cherry Blossom and I have colored many times in a variety of colors and I always like it.  In this case I really love how the bright pink and black worked out together.

This bright happy card is being submitted to these challenges:
And I have one more and this card was inspired by today's new FUN and FUNKY Challenge being hosted over at 'The Outlawz'.  The group that was previously known as the Scrapbooking Group has gone all OUT and is now open to ALL styles or Paper-Crafts -- All you need to do is be sure to match the technique and theme and you are free to do that with any project.   The theme for this week is all about SUMMER, as this is the big Summer Party Week and each group has offered a wonderful Summer themed challenge along with a fabulous selection of prizes.   And as of now, you still have time to enter ALL of the challenges, which you can link to from the main page HERE!!

The technique for this week is to created a Summer-themed project that incorporate Paper-Piecing - a technique I have grown to LOVE!   This is the card that I created and it features a sweet little digi by Lori Boyd

This little Beach Boy Christian is being submitted to these challenges and I invite everyone to play along!
My next project is to work on a card for the new challenge over at the Color Me Creative Classroom.   It's a Copic Coloring Challenge and this week we've been inspired to create a project that features brunette hair!  I chose one of my new images by Hannah Lynn and she has the most gorgeous designs, lots of flowing long hair -- her creations are amazing and you can see many of them HERE!    The Tropical Mermaid - is the image that I will be using and I bought it at her Etsy Store!!

Hi Lis, me again. I know I already commented on this on Simply Scrapping, but I love the way you tied the twine in the buttons and wanted to say that you've inspired me to try this on my next button card. I've seen it on a few cards now and normally I just stick the buttons on their own, but I must make more of an effort. In my defence the only buttons I have are tiny and the thought of threading through them is daunting, but I'm gonna give it a try! Good luck at Stamp Fairy. Miss you on the team. Annette xx

Hi lis, wow you have been busy!!! All your cards are fabulous. Love the colors of your babycard and the great simole design.

The black and pink of the cherry blossom is gorgeous together.
The flower sentiment of your last card is just perfect.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
