Sketch Sunday at OWH and a Blog Hop at Gilli !!

I'm back with my second post today and I have a two fun cards to share, and I am also inviting you all to hop on over to a new blog hop today at 'House of Gilli'.

My first card was created for one of my favorite challenges and it's the Sunday Sketch challenge hosted every week over at the Stars and Stamps blog.    I always enjoy the sketches, find them easy to follow and they always inspire me to create fun OWH cards.

Our sketch for this week is # 56 and I have copied it over to share with you all here on my blog.  If you really love creating with sketches, you want be to sure to bookmark this page, as it includes every sketch back to number one and I think it's a fabulous resource.

To start with my card I knew I wanted to make a Love card, not another Valentine, but a card that you could send out any day to tell someone you LOVE them.  Also a perfect Sentiment for any OWH card and one I like to use.  I chose this sweet image from StampFairy and paper-pieced my sweet little Lenny Bear in a cute like polka dot outfit and the colored the rest of the card with Copics.   Glitter is a a No No on any OWH cards, but wanted the heart to really sparkly and shine, I coated it with layer of Crystal Lacquer which dries totally clear and gives the heart more demension and shine.   In the end, this is my 'I Love You' card and it's my card for this week's Sketch Challenge.

I also send envelopes with my OWH cards and for this I used an  Envelope Liner die from  PTI to make my envelope match my card with a left over piece of patterned paper.  I makes a nice touch and can be used for any A2 size envelope.  A great gadget and one if use often.  Here is a picture of the card with the matching envelope.

This card was also inspired and will be submitted to these fun new challenges:

My next stop today is over to the 'House of Gilli' the brand new home and Challenge Blog for the Gilli Design Team.  Gilli is the wonderful line of adorable stamps created my friend Anary and you can find Gilli stamps and accessories at  Stamping Scrapping.   I am not feeling well enough today to make it through the hop, but I am very excited for Anary and all of there team and wanted to be sure to share the details with you on my blog.   If you would like to play along, please start of at the 'House of Gilli' blog HERE!!
Your second stop with be over at my friend Ann's blog and she is a wonderful and very talented crafter you can find her blog HERE!     And lastly, I have one of my own Gilli Card to share with you - This is Asian Gilli and she can be found over in the store HERE

I hope you all enjoy the HOP and I wanted to wish everyone GOOD LUCK!  I wish I could play, but blog hops and Fibro don't go well together and I've already been online too much for today!!  See you all tomorrow and wishes everyone a nice day!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
