A rainy lousy Saturday....

Yuk!  What a lousy day it is here in Massachusetts.  It's been cold and rainy ALL day, but it's the perfect kind of day for crafting and that is what I have been doing this afternoon.
I'm back to creating some cards for friends and some for challenges and my first card today is a little "Thank you" card that I created for this week's challenge over at the Bildmalarna Blog.  The challenge is to create card in a "shape"....basically any shape except a square or rectangle.  I have to admit, I was trying to think of something "super" creative, but ended with with a circle card and here it is --

I created this circle card using my Cricut and "Design Studio" and added a second scalloped circular layer that I cut with a Spellbinder die on my Cuttlebug.  I then embossed that layer and also cut the word "Thanks" on my Cricut.   I used the "Tosse with Flower" stamp for my card and colored little Tosse with my Copic Markers and ran him through my Xyron, so he was easy to adhere to my card.  I added a few little flowers and some Diamond Stickles to the sentiment and I was done.  If you some more inspiration for a shape card, then hop on over to the Bildy Challenge blog and check out Mindy's card HERE!   It's adorable!!

My next card for a new card for this week's Color Combo Challenge over at the Simply Scrapping Crafts Challenge site.    I had created another card on Thursday, but had used the WRONG colors....!  OOPS!  Today I started over and created this card with the correct colors which are - Blue, Red and Purple!  I started with this cute like "Wink" image from Pixie Dust Studio, one of the new digi stores, that I love!  This little "WINK" was also gifted to the students in the Copic Color Group at SSC and we were given him back in Class One , with special thanks to Kathy, the owner and creator of WINK and Pixie Dust Studio.  If you like him, you'll want to hop on over to PDS and check out of the cute images that Kathy has to offer.  I'm been back and few times and now proudly own a nice collection of images from her store.    If you like "Wink", you want to hop on over and find even more of him at this link!

Here is my new "Color Combo" card and I happily admit, that 'WINK' is the BEST part of my card!  I think he is adorable and I colored him "Purple" with my Copic Markers!
Another one of my favorite images from PDS, is this sweet Pixie, which I also used on another challenge card earlier this week.

I think that will be an image I use often, because you can color her hair and gown in any colors, plus it's adorable and I love this type of image!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
