Spring is in the Air....

....and today I wanted to work on a card that I could submit to two different challenges.  I first wanted to make some bring and pretty and I wanted to use the colors for this week's Copic Colour Challenge, which are these --
The next step to to find an image to color where I could use those colors and I picked pretty flower digi stamp.  I also wanted to be sure that I could use the same card for this week's Card Challenge over at SSC and the challenge their is to create a card based on the word SPRING, where each letter represented an element we needed to incorporate into our card. S for Staples, P or Paper, R for Ribbon,  for I for Ink, N for Neon G for Green -
After thinking it all out and with some planning, I came up with this SPRING card that I will be submitting to both challenges.   What do you think?    Do YOU like these colors?

I think it came out pretty well and I really liked how all the colors worked together.  I also used all of the SPRING elements and even colored some white pearls in the exact matching Copic Colors.  Both challenges turned out to be fun.  I'm off to see if I can find another FUN challenge for the afternoon!

Happy Thursday and as always,  Happy Crafting!

A Little About Me

Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
