Rainy Day Fun!

Today is a perfect day to stay inside and spend my day crafting.  It's pouring rain outside, but is much needed for the gardens and lawns and I think most people are actually happy to have a rainy day.  It's been quite a while that we've had a day like this, but I'm totally enjoying spending it in my craft room.

I have three new cards to share and I'm working on a few more for a variety of new challenges.  My first card today was created for the new Copic Coloring Challenge over at the Color Me Creative Classroom.   This challenge is open to all and Suzanne always offers wonderful prizes.  If your would like to play along, please hop on over to the challenge blog HERE for all the details.

Our newest challenge is to create a Friendship Card and to also use our Copics (or ProMarkers) to color our embellishments.   I used my to color my cute digi images (from By Lori Designs) and also colored white pearls to match the lavender and brown in my card.

My next card was inspired by a new challenge over at The Outlawz Challenge Group and this is their Paper a la Mode Challenge, which is hosted every Saturday.  The challenge this week all about Sparkles and Bling and this is the card that I created which features Max by Baby Bud Designs.

This cutie has always been one of my favorites and I added lots of wonderful sparkle and shine to this card with Glitter, Glitter cardstock, gems, pearls and also Pearl Pens.  It was a really fun card to create and will be added to my Christmas Card collection, which is slowly building up!!

And my next card was also created for today's new CAS Challenge, also hosted at The Outlawz Group.  The challenges this week to created a CAS card using BOLD and BRIGHT colors and that's exactly what I did with this fun little flower card.

I'm off now to continue on two more challenges and the first is going to be the new Sketch Challenge over at the Stars and Stamp Challenge Blog.  If you create cards for Operation Write Home and/or would like to play along - I have copied over this week's sketch to share --  This is Sketch #81 and I hope it will inspire you to play along --

I think it's a fun sketch and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can come up with!!   See you all tomorrow and wishing everyone a wonderful Sunday!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
