I also have been subscribing to the Card Patterns Newsletter for last several months and has been wanting to try one of the challenges for a long time. Today, was that day and I am submitting a card now for their "Sketch 49' Challenge and you can too. Simply hop on over to the site - Click Here and you'll find this - Sketch 49, designed by Julie Elak --
This the card I created based on the Sketch --
The first thing I did was pick out an image and it's a brand new digi image that I bought this weekend from the Digi Stamp Boutique. The one I chose is called "Bunch of Flowers" and I love it. I actually found several that I loved and I thought the prices were very reasonable and was happy to see they accept PayPal. There have some really adorable images and if you love digi stamps, like I do, then hop on over and check them out. There is also a wonderful gallery of projects and I will be posting more cards in the next few weeks, created from some of the images I found at the Digi Stamp Boutique. They offer a monthly "Freebie" and currently for February your can download another a "Pretty Flower" image. Click Here and it will take you to that file along with a few other Freebies from previous months.
I colored this one with my Copic Markers and then added a hint of "Glitter" to the ribbon and the flower stamps. I choose a peach color cardstock for my card base and cut my floral color strips from new Sugar Rush line from Basic Grey and then cut a circle from the same paper, using a Cuttlebug die. I ran them all through my Xyron and adhered them to the card. I added three matching Prima mini flowers, Twinkle Jewels, glitter and I was done!
This was another FUN challenge and I really like the card! It makes me "THINK SPRING" -- soft colors, nice warm days, sunshine, blue skies and blooming flowers and ! Something I am looking forward to very much!
