Spring is coming....

And that makes me a happy girl, especially since I am NOT at all a winter fan and long for some warm sunny days.

I'm so done with Winter and want to totally focus on bright colors and happy fun Spring and Summer creations and today that is exactly what I started to do.  My card today was created for a variety of new challenges and I was very happy to find several with a Spring theme.  I had a lot of fun coloring my image and I hope that maybe someone can help refresh my memory on where these image is from?  I can not remember where I bought or grabbed this digi image and I since I really do want to give credit to the artist, I'm hopeful someone will recognize it.  If so, please post me a note, so that I can update by post and thank the artist.

I have fallen in love with digital images and in the last year I have established a wonderful collection.  I literally now own 100's of images, but unfortunately, I did not always organize them well and I now, I do not know all the artists and for that I apologize.

This is my latest card created today for a variety of new challenges!  I hope it will help us all - THINK SPRING!!

I started with this wonderful image, which I colored with my Copics.  I also used my ABS to highlight spray on a light background, also to match the flower pot and the flowers.  I then cut out the image with a scalloped nestie die and cut two larger ovals in matching colors.  My flower was created by using a variety of die cuts I created with my Expression two new Cricut Cartridges (Bloom and Mother's Day Bouquet).  I cut several petal/flower shapes in assorted colors of lavender and purple and then layered them to create my flower.  I completed it by added a stem and leaves (also cut from Bloom) and lavender gem and a sweet little Green butterfly.

I am submitting my new Spring Card to all these new challenges and invite you ALL to join me!!   THINK SPRING and have some fun -
I am looking forward to spending more time this week working on Spring things and will be looking forward to the real thing!

PS:  Do you love Copics?   Have you had a chance to see or buy the new colors yet?   (I have included a picture of my set below).   Guess What?  If not, I can tell you where you can go to have a chance to WIN the brand new set!!   PLEASE  hop on over to my friend - Dana's Blog - HERE!

You'll then have the chance to sign up to win and also PLEASE be sure to wish her a HAPPY BLOGAVERSARY!!  She's a fabulous crafter and artist and you'll be totally inspired by her wonderful talent!!   WOOHOO!!!

Lis, This card is just beautiful. You make me want to work more with my Expression. I don't use it nearly enough and now that I see the different things you create with it, I'll have to start again. Your colors are fantastic and go together so well. I love the little butterfly. Your card makes me want to dig out my spring decorations. Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty card Lisa! I am SO ready for Spring & summer too. It's been a long winter in the Northeast. I agree that a great piece of advice for those just starting to accumulate digi stamps is to get organized right from the start.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
