Today's News!!

...Well I guess the bad news is the we actually have SNOW coming.  I thought it was a joke at first...but it's NOT and this time it may even be a few inches !   GRRRR!  Can you hear me screaming...!! At least I know why my body is so achy, it's because of th storm coming!!  YUK!!

On a happy note - it will give me lots of time for crafting and that is what's most fun for me!  I have two new cards to share right now and the first one is a cute little birthday card that I created for with some new challenges in mind.  The first is the Midweek Throwdown challenge -- "Cards 4 Kids" which is being hosted over at the Stars and Stamps blog!  I also used a new Sketch from the currently Sketch Challenge over at  'The Outlawz'.

This is the Sketch - Designed by:
Sandi at 'The Outlawz'

And this is my card....

My sweet little Birthday card is also being submitted to this week's - Open Challenge - # 147 at Flutter By Wednesday!     My cute little Fairy digi is 'Fairy Grace' from DigiStamp Boutique.

I also have one more Birthday card to share and this one was created for my friend, Patty who's birthday is this coming Saturday.  We are all going out to Dinner on Friday night to celebrate, so I wanted to get her card done early!   It's all about Spring and Flowers and like me, she is longing to see her garden blooming and can't wait for Summer!!

This card is being submitted to these fun challenges:
I am off now to work on one more card and this one is for a FUN color combo challenge at StampNation.  The colors for this week's challenge are Basic Black, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise!!  I Love them!!

Have a great night....and pray that the snow stays away.....maybe we will luck out and it will ALL blow out to sea!!

Lis, These cards are great. That first one is adorable and I love the colors as well as your coloring. The ribbon and flowers are wonderful finishing touches. Your second card is very pretty and, again, great colors and coloring. I also love that ribbon. Thanks for sharing. We are expecting 3-6 inches in our area tonight/tomorrow morning. I'll never get outside to work in the yard. Darn! Have a great night.

Lisa, your cards are great as usual. Spring is going to get here eventually, Wisconsin's winter is dragging out too so you're not alone.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
