Happy Friday!!

Today's post is short, but sweet!   I am still struggling a bit with extra neck pain, and since I really want to feel good at Stamp Camp tomorrow, I'm limiting my computer time, as much as possible.

I have two new cards to share and both were inspired by Summer Card Camp and also by our new Color Combo which we were given today!   This is a copy of the new Color Combos that we have to work with for the rest of Week 2 -
I really like them all and having all these makes it fun to try new colors that I would not necessarily use together.

My first card today is a Friendship Card that I created for the daily challenge at Summer Camp and for this card I used these colors--

This card was very fun and easy to make and was created primarily with scraps from my stash.  The sentiment is a digi sentiment which I printed on white cardstock and then punched out with a circular punch.   The dark brown oval, was also embossed with a heart themed Cuttlebug folder and each heart was cut with a Cuttlebug die and then coated in 3D Crystal Lacquer for more shine and dimension.  I used a border punch to create the scalloped ed on the gray paper and also embossed the dots on the middle shade of red/coral paper.
The second card was created for a new challenge that is being by Deconstructing Jen and this is Sketch #9 Challenge, which is  being sponsored by Lori Boyd, who is one of my favorite digi designers.  The card colors were based on this swatch - also from Summer Card Camp--

This is a copy of the Sketch we used for the Challenge and I hope I can inspire you to join the fun -- You can find ALL the details on the blog HERE!!

And that is it for today.   I'm off shortly to jump in the shower and then Hubby and I are going out for a nice early Dinner (late lunch) to celebrate our Anniversary!   Happy Anniversary Hun!

I'll also be off  tomorrow morning to head to my LSS for a Fun-filled day of their own version of - Summer Stamp Camp.   I'm totally loving the online Summer Card Camp, and I'll bet that I will also have a great time in Stamp Camp.   This is a little blurb from teh store that tells you a bit about what we'll be up to --  Summer Stamp Camp - Saturday, July 9th -- Starting at 10am -- Come spend the day at your "happy place!"   We will be running a 12-project workshop and the price also includes lunch of Chicken caesar salad, and other goodies, as well as a treat bag with some fun surprises and a store coupon in it.

The twelve projects will be split up among three different teachers -  Kate, Terri, and Marcia and you will be in small groups at each table.  We will be working with new items, tools, and techniques. This has always been a fun-filled day, and we are limiting the class size to keep the individual attention at max!  Here are a few peeks at two of the projects. So much more to come!!

I  think it's going to be a fun day and I have been looking forward to it for awhile now.   It's also Week 3 of the 'Make Room for CHA Sale' and this week, it's 40% OFF - All Tools and Adhesives (Punches, Spellbinders, Sizzix and more, plus all Glue, Tape too-- Yippee!! )

I hope the day is fun and I'll be sure to take pics and share some of my projects with you on Sunday.  I now I'll be totally wiped out when I get home tomorrow, but then I'm free to rest all day Sunday!

Have a great day and a wonderful weekend!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
