My first card was started yesterday and it's for the new Color Combo Challenge over at The Outlawz. This is a copy of our color theme, followed by my card --
My next card was created today and is for today's new Midweek Throwdown Challenge over at the Operation Write Home Stars and Stamps blog, which you'll HERE! I also incorporated the Sketch from today's Challenge at The Outlawz to create a Card for Kids. , which is what OWH is looking for this week. I made mine with a cute image By Lori Boyd, but it just seems to be missing something. I am also not having the best of luck today with my pictures and the colors look a bit off? Like I said, not one of my best days?? Help??? This is the copy of the sketch that I used as the idea for my card design.
After not really be happy with how that card turned out, I ventured on to make another one and I have to admit that although this one I do like better, I think I probably ended up using too much black. Black does make my little Die Cut Tree pop more, but I'm still not sure about the card. I colored with tree by using my finger tips as dabbers and worked with a variety of blue and green Distress Inks. Once it was colored I added a light misting of Perfect Pearls. This is my finished card -- I'm still not thrilled!!
I think I'm now going to take the rest of the day to simply rest and relax. I may color a bit and I do have need to do some organizing in my Craft Room. I'm simply not feeling at that great and I feel like it's showing in my cards---meaning it's time for a little break!
I HOPE you are all having a very creative and happy day and I continue to hope that everyone is doing their best to stay comfy and cool during these hot Summer Days. Hugs.....

Lisa, Please tell me you're kidding... you didn't really rip any of these apart did you?? You are much too hard on yourself, these came out very nice. That pink and black with the watermelon image is my fav. Next time you need to wait until after your rested and refreshed before you relegate anything to the recycle bin! :)
Lisa, I kept scrolling and scrolling and can't believe all your beautiful work, the coloring, the combinations, all the punching, perfect pearls, distressing...WOW They are all wonderful. I know about pictures being off...sometimes I just can't get the right shot with the camera. Sometimes clean and simple is better than loading stuff on the card...I forget that sometimes. You are doing so many different techniques that you have never done before, nor have I seen, so it's very refreshing to visit your blog.
Lisa, your being to hard on yourself, each one such a pretty card, love how creative your getting with the colors, and different techniques.
Feel better, the weather is taking it's toll on everyone I think.
Hugs, Lori m

I definitely agree with all your other comments, Lisa, you are being far too hard on yourself. We are our own worse critics aren't we. These are all lovely cards and you should be very proud of them.
I hope you are feeling better and brighter today.
Hugs Lisax
Oh no! You recycled my favorite one out of the bunch. :( It was sooo cute! But I guess you could re-create something else with the pieces. It was really cute! :)
Gorgeous cards here. That tree is stunning.
