Inspiration Showcase - Day 2!!

  Today is another fantastic day in my 'Inspiration Showcase' workshop and I find that I am totally enjoying everything the class has to offer.   If Jennifer offered a class every month, you can bet I would be in it and I know I am not alone.  Everyone has been so pleased with the workshop and it's getting rave reviews from all the students.   Woohoo!!

    For anyone who missed out on this workshop or the Summer Card Camp, I can tell you that you will NOT want to miss out on any future classes that Jennifer and Kristina put together.  I know they were planning to host a Holiday Card Workshop, sometime in November.   Woohoo!  And you can bet, that I'll be signing up as soon as registration begins.   I am been so impressed with everything that they've offered!   Inspiration Showcase is FANTASTIC!!   Well worth every penny and every minute I spend in the classroom.

    Today, we focused on using another stamping/inking techniques (Kissed/Resist) that Jennifer taught us yesterday.   We also had a guest designer - Nichol Magouirk, who is also fabulous another designer, that I follow.   She also created a fantastic inspiration card, that those of you who are in the class will see.  I loved it and think it's one that I would like to try and CASE!  

     I'm here now to share the two new cards I created today and both these were done using a Kiss/Resist technique that I love.   It's very easy to do and provides you with so many ways to create fun backgrounds or to even enhance papers in your stash.

    I also could not resist using one of the student promo codes to go over to Simon Says Stamp and order this awesome set of stamps created by Tim Holtz!  This set is called Reflections and it has already been used twice in our class.  It's one of the very few sets of 'text' type stamps, where the text was created in reverse, making it perfect for this an other fun stamping techniques.   Check it out - !  I think you'll LOVE it!!

    For my first card today, I used two Hero Arts Stamps - the Large Fabric Design and the Definition Stamp, which were kissed together to make this cool design.   I then added a combination of blue and honey  Distress Inks to give me card the colors you see.  One I had my image done, I cut it down, added a matching border, a Sentiment and a matching flower from my Stash.   This is my finished project - a new 'Thinking of You' card --

     And now I have my second card and this was created more in soft pinks and lavender.  I used the same Friend Definition stamp, along with another new Hero Arts Stamp - this one is called Large Lotus Background.   For this card I worked with pinks and lavender and once I had my background created I added it to a light pink Hero Arts Card base.   I finished it off by adding a white doily, layers of matching flowers and some pearl/beaded pins.

    And that's it for today!  I have quite a few more backgrounds that I created today and I'm keeping them on hand for more cards and hearts for my Canvas.  I also wanted to let you know that I am adding more and more products to my InLinkz Manager the pics shown below, are all products that I used for these cards.
