Lots of Wonderful Goodies!!!!

   I am back again with my second post today and now have some new cards to share.  All of these cards were created with Lockhart Stamps and they also were all colored with Prismacolor Pencils, which is out of my comfort zone.  But, having Karen teach us her techniques made the class a lot of fun and I think I'll now be more likely to use my pencils.  She also took the time to show me how she uses her Copics as a base color, before she starts coloring with her pencils.  It's very important that you do not use your Copics on top of the Prismacolor pencils, and that would ruin your nibs and contaminate your ink.  However, it's fine to lay down a lit shade of color and use your pencils on top!  You always want to color with your Copics FIRST because using along with ANY other medium.

   I have not finished making cards for all the images we colored, but I did want to share these with you.   This first card has one of my favorite stamps and I was lucky enough but buy it yesterday and Karen signed it for me, making it even more special.   It's called Harvest Wreath and it's so delicate and pretty.

    As I noted, we colored the images yesterday at the class, and then today, I used a Spellbinder die to cut my out and then edged it with Distress Inks.  I also added a touch of sparkle with my Spica Pens, but it's not showing up in the photo.  It's so much prettier in person and really could be used for all season.   I know it's a stamp I'll enjoy and I think the next time, I may color it with my Copics.

    My next two cards feature the same stamp, which is called Perfect Pears.  In the first card, it was colored with the Prismas and on the second card, we used a fun technique using a Stylus that Karen taught us in class.  You can read about this on her blog HERE!  Basically, you'll want to take a Style and create some form of design on your image before you color it.  Then when you do add your color, it will basically avoid the 'valley' areas and they will remain white.  It's a fun element and adds a new look and more texture. 

  This is the first card and this one was created without using the Stylus.   I simply matted my image in matching colors, and then took another piece of green cardstock which I embossed in my Cuttlebug, using the Autumn embossing folder.  I created a fun little Rosette, with my Tim Holtz die and then added on two more layers of flowers from my stash.

       Next, is another Fall Inspired card and this one was also created with another Lockhart Stamp, this one is called - Basket of Leaves.

    This card was submitted to the new CAS Challenge being hosted at Crafting by Designs and the the Autumn Challenge #101,  being hosed by Crafty Catz!
  
   Oh, but before I go I wanted to share my little Shopping Adventure with you.  While I was taking the class yesterday, at Absolutely Everything, my LSS - I also did a bit of shopping (of course), and could not resist some of the fantastic items that were on SALE -- My favorite word!!     This picture shows you all the new goodies I bought and the best part is that quite a few of them came from the huge Clearance Table (60% off)!!  All  if these Hero Arts Stamps, the Jennie Bowlin Paints, a couple new Christmas stamps and even the little Sizzlits.  I also bought two new Sizzix (Flower) dies (buy one get one at half price)!   Overall, I have a fantastic day!  I may have come home, totally exhausted, but it is always worth the trip and I totally love getting out to take classes and meet other crafters!  

     My next class will be a Halloween Card class that Terri is teaching in October.  She showed me the adorable cards that she had started as inspiration for the class and I think it'll be fun!  I'm all signed up and ready to go!!  Hint to Kerry -  Hope you can make it down !!
