Today's the Day!! Yippee!!

   I am very happy and excited that today is Day One of  'Inspiration Showcase' a fantastic online workshop, that Jennifer McGuire is teaching in her classroom.   I have been counting down that days and I'm thrilled that today is the day we begin!

   If I am not online as much, you'll know I'm creating lots of fun projects!  I am very excited to be in the new workshop and I'm also working on lots of FUN new things for 'Through the Craftroom Door'.  And speaking of TTCRD, please be sure come by Thursday, September 15th, as I will have a really fun and exciting new challenge to share for the 'Through the Craftroom Door'.  In the meantime, you still have time to enter our current "Fun with Texture" challenge and you can find all the details on our the TTCRD main page, as well over on our Challenge blog HERE!!

   I hope you all had a nice weekend!   We have such gorgeous weather and I remember thinking yesterday on the 9/11 Anniversary, how it was the exact same weather on the day of the awful attacks.   Beautiful blue skies and bright sunshine -- a lovely Fall day - but a day that we all will never forget!

   ~~~~~~~~~
   I spent quite a bit of time this weekend in my craft room and have some new cards I can share.   My first two cards today were cards that I created based on some sketches by Kristina Werner.   Kristina is also a guest teacher and a wonderful part of the  Inspiration Showcase Workshop!
   My Create from the Heart card is being submitted to these new challenges:
   The heart theme will be used often in the workshop, and it's a theme that I LOVE!   All of the hearts on these projects were cut with either my Heart to Heart  Stampin' Up Punch or the Hearts A Plenty die by My Favorite Things.    I tend to love hearts on cards, but you could always substitute another element if you have some else that is your favorite.
    My next card inspired the many of the new Fall-themed challenges and I had fun coloring this cute digi for my card.
   This card is being submitted to these new challenges and I encourage your all to play along:
     My next card was created for Sunday's - Sketch Challenge over at the Stars & Stamps Blog, which you can find HERE!  I have included a copy of Sketch #86, (below), hoping to inspire you to play along.   Operation Write Home is also hosting a Birthday Bash this month with a variety of challenges, which you can find HERE!   Everyone is welcome to help them celebrate their birthday and also to create cards for our Troops!
Click here for the Daily Challenge!
   Sketch # 86
    And I have one more card to share, which is a cute little Halloween Card.  This cute little 'Trick or Treating' Teddy is all dressed up as a nice Lil' Devil and he's a digi from StampFairy.
     This card was also inspired by a variety of challenges, including our Texture Challenge over at Through The Craftroom Door.    I am submitting my card to each of these and hope you'll play too:
      And that's it for now, but I hope to be back a bit later to share some new creations!  Have a wonderful day and I hope you'll find time to Create!
Lisa, the cards are all great. Love the turqoise one with the hearts, my favorite but that little teddy bear devil is just too cute. I'm glad you are feeling so well. I entered a card at TTCRD but don;t know if I got it in or not, kept having problems with it. Hope it is in the challenge where it is supposed to be.
A Little About Me
My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
