Happy Sunday...

...and it's another fabulous day here too!   Not quite as warm as yesterday, but still lots of sunshine and another "flip flop" kidn of day for me!
After doing all the weekend chores, I am now back in my craft room and working on some cards. I had planned to try to color today with my Prismacolor Pencils using the Gamsol technique, but silly me, I had read that you could use Goo Gone was an alternative and since I was reluctant to use Gamson, I went with that idea!  BAD Idea, it did NOT work and was a bust.  And now I don't have any Gamsol, I will have to break down and order some today!  This is when I really WISH I loved closer to a craft store....! Grrr!   If anyone has any other suggestions of what I can use as an alternative to Gamsol ("Odorless Mineral Spirits") --  Please post me a comment and let me know! Thanks!
After that disaster, I decided to work on my card for this weeks' Challenge at Magnolia Down Under. If you want to join in, then please HOP on over to their NEW Challenge Blog, which is NOW at this link - CLICK HERE!  This week is Challenge 36 and it's -- 3 Papers, 3 Flowers, 2 Buttona and 1 Bow and I have ALL that a bit more on my card --  Here is my Hugs - Friendship Card --

On top of the "bling" required I also added some little "pearl" gems to the lower corner of my card and also on top of the dark blue buttons.  I used 3 of the wonderful Mini Prima Roses in a dark blue and added a hint of Glitter to make them Sparkle.  My Magnolia Stamp is Happy Tilda, which I love.  If you don't have one yet, please let me know, because I HAVE two...!  Yup!  My Fibro fog set in again and I bought TWO of the same image...and I've done this "far" too man times!  I think I'll probably give it away as Blog Candy at some point, but if anyone wants to buy it or trade for another Tilda, I'm open to a swap.  It's brand new, unused and sealed in the original package.
I'm off now to try and practice my coloring and I guess I shall have to break done and order some form of Gamsol too!
   Happy Crafting!!

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
