More Challenges and Cards...

Today was a good day for working on challenge cards and today is also the day that some of my favorite challenges are posted over at Simply Scrapping Crafts.   One of my favorites, is the Copic Coloring Challenge and every Wednesday, a new video tutorial and challenge is posted by Lisa Futch, who is a Copic Certified Designer, and an excellent crafter.   If you have not tried Copics yet or if you have them and don't know where to begin, this is the place to start!  It's also fun and totally Free! Simply hop on over to SSC and join in on ALL their Challenges.
After a new video today on light sources and shading, (which I admit I still do NOT have down), I practiced coloring almost all afternoon and I manged to finish up three cards, all for challenges over at SSC.

This first card is my card for the weekly Copic Challenge --

This next card I created for the weekly Card Challenge called "A Card Corner".  This week the challenge is to use some form of Distressing on your project, which can be a layout, card or other type of Paper-Craft.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks,
to color the doily on the card to match my image.
I used two colors from his newest color collection and also one of my newly colored images.

....And my third card today was another card for the "Color Combo Challenge" also at SSC and the colors for this week's challenge are shown in the image below!

And this is my card I created using those Copic Colors --

I also want to tell you that ALL of the images I used on my cards today are from a new "Digital Store" that Lisa had told us about in her class today.   It's called "Fred, She Said" and you can find the Digital Store - Here, or if you want visit the blog called   Fred, She Said - Digital Designs, for ideas and inspiration - please Click HERE!

I had a great time browsing all the wonderful digital images for sale in the store and of course,  I could not leave without buying some to use for my cards.   There are a great selection of  designs to choose from and I'm sure you'll find some that you'll LOVE too!   I've already added the blog and the store to my bookmarks and I'm sure I visit again.  You can also link there via the "blinkie" on my side bar.

Now, it's about time for dinner and that will be it for me today.  I had a good day, but right now I am totally exhausted and need some time to rest!
  Happy Crafting!!

A Little About Me

Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
