Friday...at last!

Happy Friday to all and today is the beginning of the long Holiday Weekend for many.  I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and lots of fun with friends and family.  Today is also the day that it looks like we'll have some rain and wind from Hurricane Earl, but thankfully, the storm has now weakened significantly and we should be fine here in Northeastern Massachusetts.  I do hope that everyone on the Cape and islands is safe for harm and any nasty storms -- please take care and be well.

Today, I have two fun cards to share and both were created for challenges being hosting over at Simply Scrapping Crafts.  The first was created for this week's Color Combo Challenge and the colors this week are: Black, White and Bright Green.  I chose the adorable lil' Jack, once of the sweet Baby Bud Designs images.  I also wanted to let you all know that Baby Bud will now offering a new challenge set to being on Friday, September 24th and you'll find it over on the Challenge blog HERE!   I hope to see you then.

My second card is also for another challenge over at SSC and this is the weekly Copic Coloring Challenge.  Our challenge this week was to use our Copic Markers to color embellishments for our card and the other part of the challenge was to create a shaped card.   I started by using my Cricut Expression and the Wild Card Cartridge, so create my scalloped circular shaped card.  Next, I decided to color a wonderful image I had used earlier this week for my Spotlit card over at CDAC, this wonderful fall image, was donated by Guylou's Inimitability.  I then used my Copics in the ABS to create a background for my image, and also colored my bling and ribbon to match.  One of the best features about using Copics, is that you can color almost any type of embellishment to match, whether you color it by hand with the marker, or use the ABS system to spray it.

I am off now to work on some more FUN challenge cards and hope to be back a bit later with a few more.  Hoping you all have  Fabulous Friday and a great weekend.

A Little About Me

My photo
Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
