A Very Happy Day....

..And another gorgeous weather day and a perfect early Fall weekend.  Today, is lovely and I'm totally enjoying working on some new cards for a variety of new challenges.

The card below is the very first card card I have created as a Design Team Member 'A Day for Daisies' and I am very excited to share it with you.  I created with a few challenges in mind and the first is our new Let's Celebrate challenge over at the 'A Day For Daisies' website.  Our challenges are in The Flower Basket section, which you will find by clicking on the challenge tab at the top on the home page!  I invite everyone to join me in this fun new challenge.

For my card I chose to use this wonderful Blossom Cupcake image, as I always think a yummy treat is a fun way to celebrate.  I also was inspired by the a wonderful photo over at the Fab N' Funky site-which helped me to choose this cupcake with the delicate little flowers on top.

I colored by cupcake in my favorite Copic colors of lavender and pinks and then added Petal Pink Liquid Pearls to create a fun center for each flower.  My cardstock is Lavender Lace from Stampin' Up and I created my little 'heart' border with a new EK Success Punch.  I also love the new release of Spellbinder dies and this is the Beaded Circles set, one of my favorites.  The other layers were also cut and embossed in my Cuttlebug using the Large Scalloped Circles die.

I am submitting my 'Let's Celebrate' card to the following challenges:

I also have one more card to share and this card was created for the new iCopic Lover Challenge which you will find HERE!  As you might remember, I was very lucky and actually won the last challenge, so I am thrilled to be playing again and wish everyone GOOD LUCK!!    The colors for this challenge are Brown, Orange and Yellow and I choose to use this cute little Football Bear-by Meljen Designs, which is perfect for FALL.

My little 'Football' card is being submitted to these fun challenges:
I'm off now to color some more fun images and hope you all are having an awesome crafting day, like me!

    A Little About Me

    My photo
    Northeastern, Massachusetts, United States
Purple is my favorite color and ironically - Purple is the Awareness Ribbon color for Fibromyalgia, a chronic illness I lived with for over 18 years. In, March of 2015, I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer which had spread to my brain. I am fighting hard to win this battle and determined to beat it. I have a amazing Oncology Team, along with the LOVE and SUPPORT of all my family and friends! I am a Mom to two grown sons, Alex is now 25 and married to Acacia, my wonderful new "Daughter" and the parents to my precious Grand-Daughter Harper, and Brian amazingly is 30 and now lives in San Diego. My boys are the greatest loves of my life. Hubby, me and our two "Pups", Skye and Zeva, two adorable Chiweenies we rescued in 2012, all live very happily in a tiny coastal town in Massachusetts. We lost our dear "Scoutie", a Purebred Dachshund, in April of 2015. I still miss him and will forever cherish his memory. I am an avid card-maker and totally love every minute I can spend in my craft room. It's become my passion, a wonderful way to relax and is my form or "therapy".
