Happy Thursday....

   Today, has been a very busy day and fun day for me.   I spent the morning with one of my best friends and it was wonderful to catch up.  We talked about our boys, (she also has two), and spent lot of time in my craft room.  She also loves crafts and is now starting to get into cardmaking and they finally bought their first home computer, just two weeks ago.   Believe it or not, she and her hubby did not had a computer in their house until now, and we've always been amazed at how long they lasted without having one.  The boys are now 7 and 10 and they felt now was the time, so I am hopeful that once she gets used to it, she'll start a blog eventually and take part in online craft groups and challenges.   I can't wait for her to get started, because I know she'll love it and then I'll have someone here to craft and do challenges with!  Yippee!


   And speaking of challenges, I have a few I am working on now, but do have one new card to share that is complete.  This card was created for this week's Card Corner Challenge over at SSC,  and it was easy and fun -- the only requirement was to use a pin or pins on your card and I used two 'heart-shaped' pins as embellishments on my card. 

   My card is called 'I Believe in Angels' and I bought this wonderful image in a brand new store that I found over at the Crafters Digital Arts Center.  The store is called A Day for Daisies  and the artist is Tammy Thompson. Tammy has some gorgeous images and quite a few are angels, which are very special and dear to me.    As soon as I saw her new group over at CDAC, I joined in and have already been shopping at her wonderful store, which launched yesterday.    I hope you'll pop by her store and see all her fabulous images, they are all very unique and lovely. 

 NOTE:  To all my friends here on the East Coast, I hope you are all safe and will not have to deal with Hurricane Earl, which is currently off of the coast.   We are currently under a Hurricane Watch and under Tropical Storm warnings for late tomorrow, and will have to keep a watchful eye or Earl as the storm approaches our area.  The current projected track, should keep us out of harms way and that is great news.   The local beaches have already had terrible rip currents all week from Danielle, and sadly, a man was fishing off the rocks here locally and was swept into the swea and died on Tuesday.  There has been several people caught in the undertoe at our local beaches and they are trying to keep people out of the water.  But, with temps in the 90's it's quite a challenge, so they are allowing them to go no deeper than knee height.  If conditions get worse, they will not hesitate to close the beaches to keep everyone safe.   Coastal storms can be scary and it's been quite a long time, since we've had a Hurricane here, and I continue to HOPE this one stays away too!   I HOPE that everyone on the Coast is safe from harm and the Hurricane continues to say offshore!   
 
 And now I am off to color and work on more cards, my next card will will be color combo and then I plan to work on a Copic Challenge....busy, busy, busy -- an enjoying every minute!
